We’re always stoked when Ricky Catanzariti‘s name pops up! You know you’re going to see something original and unique every time, along with no shortage of insane nose balane. Here’s a new one filmed over the past few years for Colony that definitely delivers!

The Planetary internals have been an absolute game changer for freecoaster hubs, and there’s been a bunch of brands utilizing it for their own version of the hub design. Colony BMX have released their Swarm Freecoaster that utilizes these internals. The Colony Swarm Freecoaster Hub is our newest FC hub utilising the ground breaking Planetary coaster internals from the guys at Freenight. It has the weight of a cassette, very minimal slack with an almost instant engagement when pedalling forwards. Yet you have all the good properties of a FC hub when rolling backwards with no engagement or the need to back pedal. These are the best FC hubs available on the planet hands down.
Please Note: If pulling apart the hub, do not add grease or lubricant! These hubs need to be run dry.

Has the feel & performance of a cassette hub with all the good properties of a free coaster hub when rolling backwards. It’s a hub with best of both words of cassette & free coasters.

“2021 was another crazy year, starting off with some fun trips before parts of Australia were locked down yet again which really restricted us getting together as much as we would have liked.
We made it work as best as we could and still got some great footage from the crew. Let’s hope we can get on the road more this coming year.

It was time for Paterico Fallico to dial in a new bike, so he dropped by the Colony warehouse to get sorted out with everything! Hit play to follow Paterico and Clint Millar as they move through the warehouse picking out all the pieces, then Paterico drops by Centre Nerang build it up and get a proper session in on the ramps at The Village. This was a full day getting everything dialed in proper, and it looks like Paterico had no trouble giving it a proper break in. Take a look!
