Brakes might not be as common, but it seems like most of the time it’s because riders just don’t care to, or understand how to, work on brakes. Alright, alright… We know this one is not rocket science, but it can be a little confusing if you have never worked with arguably one of the best innovations we’ve seen on BMX frames. At least we have seen a number of times kids asking “what are those screw thingys in the dropouts?” on Instagram, so there must be somebody who wants to know. The crew at Colony have released their latest How To video explaining how to properly install a chain tensioner in your dropout. This video does a good job of explaining how it works, so if you have always wondered why people like them so much, this should give you an idea! Take a peek!

How To Install A BMX Chain with Colony

The video is for those of you installing a new chain, but the same steps can be applied to fixing a broken chain, which just requires you to add replacement links for what was broken. Colony coming through with another batch of raw clips from a trip that some of the team took to Brisbane, Australia to stack clips for a few different video projects. This video is a bunch of clips from different skateparks and spots they rode along the way. Obviously with a crew like this, there’s a ton of dialed riding to take in. We’re especially pumped to see Tom Stretton back on the bike after nearly a year off due to knee surgery. Check it out!
