Sneak Peek: Colony BMX – Pursuit Sprocket

August 8, 2015

colony-bmx-pursuit-sprocket

It looks like Colony have been working on a special project that has had its fair share of hurdles to over come to make it happen. Above is a sneak preview of their new Pursuit sprocket that is being produced in Australia. Similar to how the cost to have products produced right here in the U.S.A versus Taiwan is higher, it’s even higher in Australia which makes something as simple as a sprocket tricky to be produced for a good price. But, it looks like Clint over at Colony has found a way to make it work. Get more details below! We’ll keep you posted when more information is released.

“For years now, I’ve wanted to make some products here in Australia for Colony. But it’s proven much more difficult & less viable than expected. Sad but true, it’s not that easy to have BMX products made here in our country.

But, I am stoked to release first images of our prototype Pursuit Sprocket here made by Input for us, right here in Australia.

Inspired by the legendary stock steel pursuit wheels on many a iconic Australian car.

Full details will be released over the weeks ahead. They will be available in limited supplies towards the end of the year.

Sweet pursuities bro…” – Clint Millar

Colony BMX – Clint Millar’s 41st Birthday Session

July 29, 2015

Now THIS is what we’re talking about! Colony‘s man in charge, Clint Millar, celebrating 41 the right way with some street and ramp riding! As always, Clint comes through with some front brake magic and technical riding that is always so good to watch! There’s also a bunch of Alex Hiam clips throughout this BMX video as well! All in all, this kicks a ton of ass and we highly suggest you give this a watch! Happy Birthday, Clint! Woo!

“It’s become a bit of a tradition the last few years now for me to spend my birthday riding & film an edit from it. This year, my 41st birthday was spent doing exactly that. I wanted to ride as many varied spots as I could & make a true “freestyle” edit as such, with a bit of everything thrown in for good measure. Alex Hiam came along & we had a blast riding, even though it was the windiest day ever with gail force cyclonic winds. Hardy the Puppy even makes a cameo appearance. Pretty stoked with the end result & a big thanks to Troy Charlesworth for making me look better than I really am.” – Clint Millar.

Colony BMX – Josh Dove – 18″ Product Range

July 10, 2015

We talk a lot about the Future of BMX and how we are seeing a TON of progress from the young guns thanks to the number of 12″, 16″ and 18″ bikes that are becoming available. Now days, we’re seeing these kids throwing down like the “old” guys thanks to these bikes. Colony just released their full range of 18″ aftermarket parts for the younger riders that are looking for a custom BMX bike that can hold up to a higher level of riding versus a complete BMX bike. Above is a promo giving us a look at the new range along with some excellent riding from Josh Dove. This kid is a serious shredder and we’ll definitely have to keep an eye out for him in the future. If you want to learn more about Colony’s 18″ range, visit their website to check out their entire range of 18″ parts.

“With the emerging growth in the number of smaller rippers out there in the BMX world, we saw a gap in what was available for them to buy & ride.

The introduction of our 18″ product line, gives these little shredders access to the same high end parts that the 20″ world enjoys.

Our 18″ version Sweet Tooth frames, Dagger forks, Sweet Tooth forks, Pintour wheels & soon to be released 22’s cranks in 165mm makes up a full high end 18″ product line. Our own Josh Dove show’s in this video exactly what these little bikes are capable of doing. Available now at all Colony dealers worldwide.”
