Pumped BMX + Out NOW!

If you caught our interview last week with Adam Hunt talking about the console version of Pumped BMX, you would have heard that they would be releasing the console version of Pumped BMX today! Well, the time has come and the X-Box One an PC version is available NOW with Playstation and Wii coming in the next few days. Get the full scoop below! I personally have had the opportunity to play on the X-Box version and it’s damn addicting and a lot of fun! Hit the game store on X-Box Live and download it! You won’t be disappointed.

YEAHUS! and Curve Digital are proud to announce that Pumped BMX +, an addictive extreme BMX sports game is OUT NOW on Xbox One and PC/Steam with the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 versions launching the following Tuesday 22nd September. Talking Pumped BMX with Adam Hunt and Dan Lacey

If you checked the site yesterday, there’s a good chance you caught the news about the console release of Pumped BMX coming up on September 18th for X-Box, Playstation, Wii and PC! We figured with the release coming up quick, it would be a good time to catch up with the game developer, Adam Hunt, on Skype to talk about getting the game ready for consoles, working with Curve Digital, the start of Pumped BMX 3 and the potential for future games and more. We also were lucky enough to get Dan Lacey to sit down and talk about how he got involved with Pumped BMX as well. Hit play and enjoy!

Monster Energy – “Above Below” – Below Section

Over the past few months, Monster Energy has been uploading sections from the “Above Below” video online for your viewing pleasure. Today they have released the entire “Below” section in one for your viewing pleasure! Hit play, kick back and get the perspective of each of the guys involved in this project.

“ABOVE BELOW is the first full-length BMX feature from Monster Energy in association with DIG BMX. This two part film sees a diverse group of riders Ben Lewis, Dakota Roche, Fernando Laczko, Ed Zunda, Nathan Williams and Dan Lacey travel the world pushing the limits of BMX progression under the watchful lens of the director, Richard Forne.

BELOW then shows you how each rider achieved their goals in the face of setbacks from not only security and the eye of the law but also frustration and injury. Product: Federal Bikes – Dan Lacey Signature DLX Frame

To celebrate Dan Lacey‘s 10 years on the Federal Bikes team, they have released his brand new DLX frame. This frame is made from 4130 chromoly tubing with a 75.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 9″ stand over height, 11.8″ bottom bracket height and 13.75″ (slammed) chain stay length. The DLX frame features gussets on the top and down tubes with an embossed F logo on the top,a MID bottom bracket, an integrated Investment Cast seat post clamp, tapered seat and chain stays, removable brake mounts and 6.5mm thick Investment Cast drop outs with embossed logos on the ends and integrated chain tensioners.

The DLX frame is available in top tube lengths of 20.5″, 20.75″ and 21″ with color options of matte black and translucent gold and a weight of 5.3 lbs. through all BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Federal Bikes worldwide now!

“Lacey is one straight-forward, funny mother fucker. So, when I strapped to a mic to him at the beginning of the Chicago stop of The Street Series, I knew this would end up being a long edit. From dealing with security, whispering sweet nothings in my ear, and talking a bit of shit, Lacey pretty much had commentary for everything. Besides a couple of missed clips at the last spot (I had to go get something to drink), I think this video does a pretty proper job of showing all the good times that were had in Chicago. Thanks to Monster for organizing this, Kachinsky for doing the ground work, Lacey for being a part of this, and all the locals for coming out and making #bmxday a huge success.

This past weekend, The Street Series invaded cities in Japan, Latvia, Scotland and the United States with crews of riders getting together and swarming the streets for massive sessions to celebrate BMX Day! Chicago was one of the 5 locations that was selected for the day, and some of the Midwest’s finest got together with Brian Kachinsky and Dan Lacey as they lead the crew from Grant Park Plaza to a handful of the city’s finest street spots. We had photographer Dennis Peralta out cruising with his camera and he came through with a dialed photogallery featuring the likes of Dylan McCauley, Dan Kruk, Trent McDaniel and many, many more!
