We have been seeing bits and pieces about the new Hybrid freecoaster hub from Wethepeople the few weeks, but now we have a full explanation of how it all works. Hit play to let Dave Paterson give you a full detail look at the internals and how it all works. This hub is a freecoaster and cassette and can be switched between the two systems by making a few small changes. If you aren’t sure what you want to use, or if you just want the option to switch between the two styles of hubs, this might just be for you. Check out the video above, then get more details down below!
Wethepeople – Rookies
Wethepeople coming through with a dialed new mix featuring their AM squad (and TM’s) going to work on the streets! You should probably be familiar with most of these names since these guys have been all killing it for a while now, but having them all together in one video makes for a super good watch. Take a look!
“Rookies marks a shift in focus towards putting some shine on our up and coming AM and Flow riders. These guys each got some clips for our latest full-length, Out of Line, but they had a lot more to offer than we had room for in that video. So we present five minutes from some of the future of BMX and of our brand, Featuring, John Yoh, Reagan Riley, Jesse Romano, Grant Castelluzzo, Dan Banks, Dave Paterson, Tom Weikert, Justin Hughes, Justin Koebele, and Stephan Atencio.
Filmed/edited: Grant Castelluzzo
Additional Filming: Paul Robinson and the rest of the crew.” – Wethepeople

Sneak Peek: Wethepeople – 18″ Envy
Photo: Freedom BMX
Here’s a sneak peek we spotted floating around on Facebook this morning courtesy of our good friend Dave Paterson. Here is a sneak preview of the 18″ Envy frame and fork that Wethepeople have been working on for their 2016 line. No details as far as specs go, but it sounds like it’s just a scaled down version of the 20″ Envy frame, so the top tube, seat tube and chain stays will be shorter, but we would imagine it will be the same geometry wise. The fork should also feature the same features, just shorter legs to accommodate the 18″ wheels. Expect more details closer to its release!
It’s good to see so many brands putting focus on 16″ and 18″ complete bikes and aftermarket frames and parts. There are more and more kids getting into BMX at an earlier age and it’s been incredible watching the level of progress that has come with the proper bikes for the job. We’re sure this is just a taste of what we will be seeing in the 18″ department this year.
Check out more BMX Frames.
The Level Jam
Dave over at The Merged is about to make the move to Germany. Before he leaves Brighton, England, he figured he better throw one last bash at The Level Skatepark! If you’re in the Brighton area, I highly suggest you plan to be at the park Saturday, May 31st because it’s going to be a rager. They have a bowl jam, highest bunny hop, best trick on the ledge & rail section and a best trick on the A-Frame section planned. There will also be product from Vans, Eclat, Federal Bikes and more being GIVEN AWAY and with MC Ant Barber on the mic all day long! Get there!
