June 16, 2016

The Division Brand squad coming through with a new team mix that’s packed full of heat from some of the time each of the guys were able to spend out in Melbourne! Amazing riding, great film work and some real good spots. You won’t be disappointed with this BMX video!

“This has been one Cooper Brownlee and the Division dudes have been working on gradually as each of the crew came through town and it worked out to be a right piece for the eyeballs. Shot around the city area of Melbourne, Australia with Chris Whyte, Mitchell McDonald, Cooper himself, Daniel Johnson, Carraig Troy, Rhys Gogel and Wolfgang Ray. Dudes killed it.

Filmed and edited by Cooper Brownlee. Additional filming by Chris Bracamonte, Pat Freyne, Carraig Troy and Chris Whyte” – DIG BMX

“Permission Pool” – Till It’s Dark

June 15, 2016

It’s not every day that you get the chance to ride a pool and it’s definitely even fewer and farther between getting the chance to ride a pool with the owners permission. That wasn’t the case when Adam Banton had a pool that was about to undergo some heavy maintenance and gave it the all clear for a session before the work started. Hit play to check out what Drew Hosselton, Jason Lorenz, Pat Burkin, Corey “Ginja Ninja” Fedder, Matt Fisbeck, Brad Pacheco and Adam Banton all cooked up for clips during the session! Looks like it was a well taken advantage of opportunity to us!

“Arizona and pools. There are so many of them, even in the modest neighborhoods every other house has one. When they leak, they can be troublesome and have to be drained to get fixed. And that trouble is any persons opportunity with a watchful eye and good timing. The word “Permission Pool” is a phrase that releases a lot of stress and a dream come true for any rider that enjoys some carves in an empty pool. We had limited time to get a solid session in and unfortunately no pegs on the coping had to be enforce. But that didn’t stop us enjoying a basic pill shape pool. We had to get creative on the lines. But luckily the pool was old which usually means the transition is gonna be good. I invited some guys over that I knew would appreciate this rare session and keep the invite list to a minimum. We didnt set out to get crazy moves for Instagram or set out to film an edit at all actually. But in between runs I was inspired to pick up my camera and start gathering photos and film trying to capture the positive vibe that was so strong this afternoon. Some notable things happened during this session, and wasn’t just lines or tricks.

-1 rider rode his first pool.
-1 rider air’ed his first stairs.
-1 rider oppo air’ed his first stairs.
-2 riders met for the first time and became friends.
– 4 chips in the concrete were made and no one cared.
-everyone pedaled in the pool, and it didn’t matter.
-airing the forgiving stairs and casing it was always followed by high 5’s.
-Everyones hands were on their grips more than smart phones.

Hopefully you can feel the good vibe from this and go out to create your own new friends, sessions and explore all BMX has to offer. – Adam Banton

In The Cut – LA Filming Mission with Monster Energy

June 13, 2016

Remember when the Monster Energy crew rolled through Los Angeles a month or two back and they ended up with the BMX Day 2016 #BEAPARTOFIT promo? Well, here’s a behind the scenes look at what went down when they were filming for for it from the riding to what the guys were getting into off their bikes. Take a peek!

“We flew out to Los Angeles a few months back to meet up with Dan Lacey, Dakota Roche, Alex Donnachie, Ben Lewis, Ed Zunda, Will Stroud, Rich Forne and Monster Energy TM Tom Creasy to see what was going on behind-the-scenes of the new Street Series/BMXDAY commercial and hit up the Street Series / Thee Block street jam that week. Along the way we also hang with snapchat addict Corey Martinez, Thee Block’s Aaron Brenner and Tony Neyer, happy snapper Chris Mortenson, Grip Thang inventor Shawn McIntosh, Nathan Williams and his dog bear and more. Enjoy!” – DIG

Here’s a raw cut of some footage from a Vans trip to Lisbon, Portugal that Bruno Hoffmann, Anthony Perrin and Diogo Santos took a little while back. This is a lot of footage of the guys scoping out spots, cruising around and more “lifestyle” style of footage with a few random b-roll clips for good measure. Take a peek!

“A few months back we jumped out to Lisbon, Portugal with Bruno Hoffmann, Anthony Perrin and local Diogo Santos to grab some final clips for the new Vans ‘Illustrated’ video and between shooting for our Photo Journal we kept our cameras rolling off duty. Ghetto Spots – Melbourne DIY Warehouse

May 30, 2016

It’s pretty awesome seeing what BMX riders can come up with when they get the chance to do something like a DIY spot in an abandoned building. We’ve seen the Melbourne DIY spot pop up in a handful of videos over the course of the past year and it seems like they keep accumulating more and more things to ride. Here’s a look at a session that went down with some of the Colony and Division Brand squads courtesy of DIG.

““One day during my stay in Melbourne we were rained out when we had planned on going out to ride street and film. So Cooper Brownlee, Wolfgang Ray, Ricky Catanzariti, Chris Whyte, Marius Dietche and myself went over to this DIY spot Cooper and some locals had put some work on a while back. Fortunately for us the spot was really dialed and we got in a really good session.” – Chris Bracamonte
