Chad Kerley – Sections: Episode 1

September 11, 2015

With Chad Kerley‘s long awaited section from the Cinema Wheel Co. video dropping on Monday, were bound to be in for one hell of a good day. But, until then, here’s a little behind the scenes look at what went into getting Chad’s section done from some Q&A action and extra footage! Get stoked!

“You may already be aware after we dropped the news yesterday, but the long-awaited Cinema DVD will now be switching it’s release format up a bit with each section now becoming available to watch online over the course of a year. We’ll be starting things off by premiering Chad Kerley’s section which i’m sure we don’t need to tell you is absolute dynamite. To get you ready we met up with Chad in San Diego to find out some more about what it takes to to film a full video section, along with some B-roll footage that didn’t make the cut. Look out for more from our new DIG ‘Sections’ series soon…” – DIG

The Back Bone Video – DVD Extras

September 9, 2015

If you haven’t seen the The Back Bone Video yet, there’s a good chance you’re doing this thing commonly known as “BLOWING IT” because the video kicks a ton of ass. Today, DIG released the extras from the video online for you to get another taste of just what this video has to offer. This is a BMX video we suggest you don’t miss out on.

““Consider this the second ‘teaser’ of sorts for the Back Bone video. Filming for three years leaves you with a lot of left over footage, so it makes sense to release some of it! The majority of this video is unused clips. We were able to use a song from our friends I Exist, who hail from Canberra, our hometown. Some of you may not know, but the actual Back Bone video itself has an all-Australian soundtrack, which we felt it had to have to compliment the vibe of the store and our scene.” – Tyson Jones-Peni

“We Are Substance”

September 8, 2015

Wow… The Substance BMX crew coming through with a banger of a team video that they filmed in just a short amount of time. This is one BMX video that you cannot pass up on because it kicks a ton of ass from start to finish!

“Substance BMX shop in Glasgow, Scotland has had a busy old time so far! After opening up their doors last year in April they have already solidified a bad ass team of dudes, (including some seriously skilled young guns) done a trip to Madrid, and now they have this, their fire new team video ‘We Are Substance’ filmed entirely in Aberdeen over the course of a few weeks. You can’t get more rider-run than this… Kick back and enjoy the next ten minutes and then go peep their website – http://substancebmx.com

In The Cut – The Shadow Conspiracy In New York City

September 5, 2015

Curious what the day of the premiere of “What Could Go Wrong?” was like for the Shadow Conspiracy team? Well, here’s a little behind the scenes look that follows the crew from first thing in the morning on up through the premeire and after party! Looks like it was one hell of a good day to us!

“When you belong to a team that is spread all over the world, an event that brings everyone together is something you can’t miss… In New York City during the first week of August, The Shadow Conspiracy did just that; the entire crew was in attendance (Scott we missed you) for the world premiere of their newest DVD project.

I came along to be a part of that experience, and to bring you a behind the scenes look at the team, up close and personal. Starting off the day in the right way, a high speed ride through Brooklyn to The House of Vans where the video was set to premiere that night. The team caught their very first viewing of the video only hours before the hundreds of awaiting riders feasted their eyes upon the video workings of Chadwick. Vans and Shadow put on one hell of a party for everyone of all ages and the jam at the House of Vans went down without a hitch and thanks to Darryl Nau we had the after hours situation all figured out! Follow The Shadow Conspiracy through their day leading up to the premiere of ‘What Could Go Wrong?’

Featuring: Albert Mercado, Seth Kimbrough, Johnny Devlin, Trey Jones, Lahsaan Kobza, Simone Barraco, Paul Ryan, Scott Ditchburn, Joris Coloumb, Eric Bahlman, Mark Burnett.

‘What Could Go Wrong?’ is available in select countries via iTunes and on DVD worldwide through any Shadow supported shop, mail order, and their online store.

Ryan Chadwick – Hi-8

September 2, 2015

Seeing Hi-8 footage always brings us way back to when we first started messing around with cameras. Although the quality is rough, it’s still so good. The other reason why this video is so good is because it features Ryan Chadwick, who for the past few years has been damn busy behind the lens filming for Shadow Conspiracy’s “What Could Go Wrong?”. Although he had that going, he was still able to stack some damn good clips for this new edit from DIG. Enjoy!

“After releasing the first Hi-8 edit early Jan 2015 using my Sony TRV-608, I wanted to keep filming and start to work on a second Hi-8 edit. These edits are focused on having fun and filming my friends out riding wherever we end up that day. From the start, Chadwick was very adamant about stacking enough clips so he could have his own part. Though Chadwick was in the midst of his typical TM duties, going on Shadow trips and then to finalize/produce the What Could Go Wrong DVD, he still managed to get out there and finally get his turn shred in front of the lens. So without further ado, here’s Ryan Christopher Chadwick in all his Hi-8 glory, enjoy!” – Eric Bahlman

Hoffman Bikes – Trent McDaniel 2015

August 27, 2015

DIG dropped this new BMX video featuring Hoffman Bikes‘ Trent McDaniel absolutely CRUSHING it on the streets of Chicago! Trent is no stranger to sending it on some big setups and this is more than proof on that. Check t!

“Trent McDaniel killed it for our new DIG X Hoffman Bikes edit. Filmed over the first half of 2015 over a series of weekend trips in and around the streets of Chicagoland, Trent definitely didn’t hold back. Great job by Andrew Brady with the filming/edit too.” – DIG

Shad Johnson – Real Time

August 25, 2015

DIG caught up with Goods BMX‘s Shad Johnson to get his perspective on the perspective of time and age in BMX. It’s definitely an interesting watch and we even get a few riding clips out of him, which kicks a lot of ass, too! Enjoy!

“For some this will seem like an obvious thing to say but sometimes BMX loses sight of where we’re all headed and why we all started doing this in the first place. All too often people are more concerned with “who’s next” or “what’s next” without even fully talking in what’s happening right here and right now… never mind what’s come before. In many ways BMX is now just mirroring the attitudes and approach of the wider society that a lot of us tried to escape from in the first place.

This year marks ten years for Snakebite’s Shad Johnson holding it down behind the sales counter at Goods BMX in Portland, Oregon and around 3 decades for him as a BMXer. He’s beaten the odds to stick with both for way longer than most and he’s gathered some seriously good opinions along the way. Here Shad takes a walk with Chewy and talks openly about the uniqueness of the North West scene, his equal respect for riders young and old, and why we need to give more room to let riders grow, rather than continually cutting them off at the first opportunity. We really should all just slow down and take things in a little more – welcome to episode 2 of Realtime.

Shot and Cut by Fraser Byrne”
