Matt Closson 2020 Video

July 17, 2020

When you see Matt Closson‘s name pop up, you know you’re going to see a wild one! Due to COVID shutting down Las Vegas, he was off work and decided to get to work on a ton of spots around the city, some that he would have never had the chance to get to without the shutdown. Needless to say, Matt crushed everything he got he shot at. Hit play and take a look at all this heat!

“The mayor of Sin City returns to DIG for another round of wild street activity. This guy has put a serious hurting on everything in his way over the last few years and he just struck gold again with this. Big setups, precision rail moves, a helluva big half cab and so much more. Fiend’s Matt Closson is a hog of the highest order!

Weird & Revered “Vagabond Squad” – Derek Bolz & Outro Sections

July 8, 2020

The final sections from the Weird & Revered “Vagabond Squad” DVD have popped up online. This time around we get Derek Bolz‘s section that’s filled with wild gaps and drops. It’s safe to say Derek is NOT scared to send it off or over something. After that, we get some laughs, crashes and b-roll to close things out! Hit play and take it all in!

““Vagabond Squad” is a full-length video from Canada’s Weird & Revered crew. Filmed from 2016 to 2019, the project is community rooted with a strong focus on the Edmonton BMX scene. Although a majority of the clips are from the crew’s home city, the footage spans 9 countries, 8 American states, and 4 Canadian provinces and territories.

Closing out our release of sections from Vagabond Squad is Derek Bolz.” – DIG

“Derek is from a small farming community called Provost. About a year into filming the DVD, he moved to Edmonton for school and started riding more regularly with the crew. Derek is highly motivated and reliable which makes him one of my favorite people to film with. Despite a later start to the project, he put in a ton of work to get enough footage for a full section. As we captured and crossed off more and more crazy ideas from his filming list, it soon became apparent that he would have the last section in the video. The boy loves metal and loves a good huck which is the perfect recipe for closing out Weird & Revered’s first DVD, Vagabond Squad.” – Justin Schwanke

BMX Scene Builders – The Halahans Meet Paul Rad

July 6, 2020

The Halahan’s hit the road to Ohio to spend some time riding with Paul Radosevich at Ray’s MTB and getting to know him a little better with some random questions mixed in throughout the video! As expected, these guys deliver in the riding department, and it’s good to get to know Paul a little better. Hit play to check it out!

“scene / `sen : the place of an occurrence or action
builder / `bil-der : one that builds

Motivated by their own DIY ethos, the Halahan boys take a closer look at Paul’s Boutique in Cleveland, OH. Long time friend and mentor Paul Radosevich walks the boys through what it took to make it happen. The unique spot fits Paul’s riding style perfectly. Tight transitions, lots of lines and safety hazards in a hide away locale that connects to Rays Bike Park.

Colombians In France

July 2, 2020

Remember when traveling was a thing? The trips have slowed down for most of us, but fortunately we’re still seeing a steady low of footage to keep the stoke up. Here’s a video from a trip Santiago Laverde and a few others from Colombia took to France to cruise street spots and parks before the shutdowns started up. Based on the footage, it looks like this was a real good time. We’re sure they are stoked they got this trip in before things got weird!

“Our DIG Locals series is usually reserved for unsponsored riders, but Colombia’s Santiago Laverde sent through this one from pre-covid time and a trip to France that himself and a bunch of friends from back home took. Nothing but good vibes.

Winter Procedure

June 30, 2020

It’s weird thinking about winter with it being so damn hot out lately, but there’s still footage surfacing from the colder months. Here’s a new mix featuring Dan Banks, Thomas Roulston and Guy Scroggie going to work on street spots over in Glasgow, Scotland! Despite the cooler temps and wet weather, it looks like these guys had no trouble stacking clips or this one. Hit play and check out what they whipped up!

“Not even the Scottish winter can keep the Procedure dudes indoors. Luc Lynch-Rice spent the colder months following the likes of Dan Banks, Thomas Roulston and Guy Scroggie, documenting his friends and the city with his Super 8 cam in hand, and usually under the cover of darkness. Just under 6 minutes of northern grit.” – DIG

Day In The Life of Martti Lainevool

June 25, 2020

It’s always interesting to see how riders spend their day. Here’s a new Day In The Life video following Martti Lainevool as he cruises street spots and skateparks, get some errands done and more. As always, Martti delivers with real solid riding. It looks like it was a good day to us!

“20 year old Martii Lainevool is one of the Estonian BMX scene’s finest exports and if you’ve ever been to Simple Session you’ll know how much his fellow Estonians loves to watch him ride. Chris Patrick Tilk decided to spend some time with Martii and put together this great look at his daily life, outlook and future hopes and dreams. ” – DIG

Weird & Revered – Tyler Horness “Vagabond Squad” Section

June 24, 2020

The sections from the Weird & Revered “Vagabond Squad” DVD continue to flow! Here’s a look at Tyler Horness‘ section loaded with park and street goodness. Tyler brings a good mix of tricks to the spots, keeping things interesting from start to finish!

““Vagabond Squad” is a full-length video from Canada’s Weird & Revered crew. Filmed from 2016 to 2019, the project is community rooted with a strong focus on the Edmonton BMX scene. Although a majority of the clips are from the crew’s home city, the footage spans 9 countries, 8 American states, and 4 Canadian provinces and territories.” – DIG

“Tyler has incredible bike control, a well-developed style, and is constantly learning new and difficult tricks. I’m not really into the idea of saying that someone is ‘the best,’ especially in BMX when everything is so variable and so subjective. However, I think many of the Edmonton locals would agree with me that Tyler Horness is probably the best rider in our city. This video part is just a small taste of Tyler’s skills on a bike.” – Justin Schwanke

Florent Soulas – Lockdown Edition

June 18, 2020

We’re always pumped when we see Florent Soulas‘ name pop up! Here’s a little look at what he’s been getting into during the lockdown! As always, Florent gets creative and brings plenty of style. Hit play and take it all in.

“FIT’s french front-end bike godfather Florent Soulas did lockdown his own way… like riding a huge pile of gravel like a dirt jump. This guy has creativity flowing from him. Here’s a quick-fire dose from himself and friend/filmer Leo Mongendre. Look out for something a little more serious from these two soon.” – DIG

“As you might have seen in the news, France recently lifted its lockdown measures that forbid anyone from leaving the house longer than an hour a day and further than a kilometer. Bicycle riding was not really permitted either, so needless to say that riding became a scarce and perilous business. There is nothing too fancy about it as it was completely unplanned, but even after knowing him for 15 years now, I never stop being amazed by his ability to find options no matter the spot (like dirt jumping and flipping a pile of gravel).” – Leo Mongendre
