In The Cut – Uncovered BMX Tokyo

April 23, 2019

The Uncovered BMX contest series rolled through Tokyo, Japan the other weekend and, as expected, the contest went off with a bunch of Japan’s locals turning out to throw down. Here’s a raw cut DIG put together from the contest filled with riding and a bunch of non-riding footage that’ll get you laughing. This looks like it was a super good time, so hit play and take it all in!

“For 2019, Van Homan and Brian Kachinsky brought their Uncovered Am contest across the Pacific to Murasaki Park in Tokyo, Japan. With Japanese local burger-slinger and park owner Bashi handling the mic, the stoke was high, and riders of all ages were killing it. When it was all over, Shota Higa took home first place mini jersey barrier trophy, and the coveted invite to Battle Of Hastings; congrats. Thanks to Source BMX, BSD, GT, FIT, and Odyssey for the support to help make this awesome day a reality.” – DIG

Cult – Chase DeHart “It’s Later Than You Think” Section

April 19, 2019

The crew over at DIG have uploaded the Chase DeHart‘s section from the Cult “It’s Later Than You Think” video for just a few days. As expected, everything about this kicks ass from the riding to the spots and film work, making for one BMX video you can’t pass up. We don’t get nearly as much Chase DeHart footage as we wish these days, but damn does this make up for it. Take a look!

“Chase DeHart is no stranger to the art of filming a video part. He’s been fifteen years deep putting out thirteen-plus sections.Cult’s “It’s Later Than You Think” is Chase’s latest effort. Enjoy four minutes of that timeless Chase D. style and classy riding oozing off your screen from the recipient of last years DIG ‘Less Is Still More’ award.

The Weird & Revered crew coming through with another batch of footage that didn’t make the cut for their “Vagabond Ritual” DVD that’ll be premiering on May 11th. Check out a ton of great riding from the crew getting down on street spots, skateparks, backyard ramps and more!

Please Be Kind & Rewind: Felix Prangenberg

April 15, 2019

Curious what video part had the most influence on Felix Prangenberg growing up? Here’s a video where Felix talks about the part and a look at the full section. With the way Felix rides, I don’t think I would have EVER guessed this part as the one he would pick. Not to say that it’s not one hell of a part from one of my personal favorite riders of all time, it’s just riding completely unlike the way Felix rides these days. Either way, this kicks ass, so hit play and enjoy!

“The third instalment in our ‘Please Be Kind And Rewind’ series asks German street prodigy Felix Prangenberg about his favorite section of all time, and it probably isn’t what you’d presume. Either way, it’s a damn good choice! Enjoy a classic section from one of the best to ever grace a bike.” – DIG

La Cribs at Le Taz Skatepark

April 9, 2019

The winters are brutal up in Canada, but fortunately for the La Cribs BMX Shop crew, they have the Le Taz Skatepark to ride and dodge scooters at. Here’s a fresh video giving us a look at what Arnaud P. Paquin and Alexandre Therien threw down during their sessions at the park! Take a look!

““So it’s kind of tradition now for Big T & me to do a Taz edit every winter. This year we had some new obstacles to deal with, some really young snaker scooter kids. But still having a good time at Taz Skatepark and learning some new shit on our bikes waiting for summer to come to the Canadian streets. Follow the two riders @dumblebars @bigt_la_legendebmx also S/O to our supporter @la.cribs bike shop doing all those daily maintenance on our bikes and also S/O to killemall BMX Distribution @killemallbmx for supporting @dumblebars and for getting the good stuff like BSD and Animal bmx parts to Canada. Also S/O to you guys at Dig for supporting us by sharing our videos in the last few years. Thank you.

World Deece In Vietnam

April 3, 2019

It’s not every day we get a video coming out of Vietnam! Some of the World Deece crew took a trip over that way to see what the place had to offer for spots! Hit play to check out a bunch of footage they collected during their stay rom the riding to the random footage they collected along the way. Besides a few angry bystanders and getting detained, it looks like the trip was an absolute blast. Check it out!

“Going away with your mates isn’t an easy feat and unless you’re one of these filthy rich folk it comes at a considerable cost to go abroad. There’s the easy options like SoCal, Barcelona, New York, Austin, Berlin and Paris to pick a few. Of which no one can blame you for heading out to either. When it’s your dime and time why wouldn’t you go to a dreamland of perfect spots and weather?

Sometimes though (especially riders that have been doing it for a while) you realise that it’s not always about the spot you’ve seen in everyones video but what parts of the globe that haven’t been frequented by a BMX. Enter James Dean, Regan Miller and Drew Morton. Three riders who reside in Vancouver, Canada. All have visited some of the dreamlands but wanted a different adventure. So off they went to explore the depths of the Vietnam Jungle, the streets of Ho Chi Minh, Da La, and the country side in between with Isaac Clarke as a tour guide. This isn’t your star studded video filled with bangers, glass rails and ledges. No this is the kind of video that gets you hyped to see this deece ass world. Buy a ticket to a foreign country, bring your bike, enjoy and repeat…” – DIG

“We purchased motorcycles, strapped our bikes to them and let the coast line guide us to a truly deece experience. Janky flat rails, cheap street food, religious dogma and controversial history- Vietnam was an unforgettable place that will forever be documented through the lens of BMX in this postmodern internet experience.“” – Drew Morton
