Weird & Revered In Panama

April 24, 2019

The Weird and Revered crew put on some serious miles while working on their new “Vagabond Squad” video that’ll be dropping next month. One of the trips they took brought them to Panama where the spent time cruising spots and skateparks, as well as took in the sights, did some swimming and more. Here’s a look at a bunch of footage from the trip they didn’t use for the DVD.

“For the past three years, Canada’s Weird & Revered crew has been working on a DVD entitled, “Vagabond Squad.” To promote their upcoming full-length project, the boys will be dropping weekly web videos every Wednesday leading up to their May 11 premiere in Edmonton, Alberta. All premiere and download/DVD release info can be found at http://weirdandrevered.com.

“Weird & Revered in Panama” is the crew’s third web video for this pre-DVD series.

Back in February 2018, Thomas Henderson, Jesse Baraniuk, and Justin Schwanke ventured to Panama for a filming trip. Aside from a few days in a beach town called San Carlos, the trio spent most of their time in Panama City. With a small riding scene, intense traffic, and extremely tight security, it soon became apparent that stacking footage would be tough. The boys did capture a handful of DVD clips, but they ultimately decided to take things in stride and enjoy the cultural activities that the city has to offer. This video is a representation of the more “relaxing” moments of their trip, both on and off the bike.

In The Cut – Uncovered BMX Tokyo

April 23, 2019

The Uncovered BMX contest series rolled through Tokyo, Japan the other weekend and, as expected, the contest went off with a bunch of Japan’s locals turning out to throw down. Here’s a raw cut DIG put together from the contest filled with riding and a bunch of non-riding footage that’ll get you laughing. This looks like it was a super good time, so hit play and take it all in!

“For 2019, Van Homan and Brian Kachinsky brought their Uncovered Am contest across the Pacific to Murasaki Park in Tokyo, Japan. With Japanese local burger-slinger and park owner Bashi handling the mic, the stoke was high, and riders of all ages were killing it. When it was all over, Shota Higa took home first place mini jersey barrier trophy, and the coveted invite to Battle Of Hastings; congrats. Thanks to Source BMX, BSD, GT, FIT, and Odyssey for the support to help make this awesome day a reality.” – DIG

Cult – Chase DeHart “It’s Later Than You Think” Section

April 19, 2019

The crew over at DIG have uploaded the Chase DeHart‘s section from the Cult “It’s Later Than You Think” video for just a few days. As expected, everything about this kicks ass from the riding to the spots and film work, making for one BMX video you can’t pass up. We don’t get nearly as much Chase DeHart footage as we wish these days, but damn does this make up for it. Take a look!

“Chase DeHart is no stranger to the art of filming a video part. He’s been fifteen years deep putting out thirteen-plus sections.Cult’s “It’s Later Than You Think” is Chase’s latest effort. Enjoy four minutes of that timeless Chase D. style and classy riding oozing off your screen from the recipient of last years DIG ‘Less Is Still More’ award.

The Weird & Revered crew coming through with another batch of footage that didn’t make the cut for their “Vagabond Ritual” DVD that’ll be premiering on May 11th. Check out a ton of great riding from the crew getting down on street spots, skateparks, backyard ramps and more!

Please Be Kind & Rewind: Felix Prangenberg

April 15, 2019

Curious what video part had the most influence on Felix Prangenberg growing up? Here’s a video where Felix talks about the part and a look at the full section. With the way Felix rides, I don’t think I would have EVER guessed this part as the one he would pick. Not to say that it’s not one hell of a part from one of my personal favorite riders of all time, it’s just riding completely unlike the way Felix rides these days. Either way, this kicks ass, so hit play and enjoy!

“The third instalment in our ‘Please Be Kind And Rewind’ series asks German street prodigy Felix Prangenberg about his favorite section of all time, and it probably isn’t what you’d presume. Either way, it’s a damn good choice! Enjoy a classic section from one of the best to ever grace a bike.” – DIG

La Cribs at Le Taz Skatepark

April 9, 2019

The winters are brutal up in Canada, but fortunately for the La Cribs BMX Shop crew, they have the Le Taz Skatepark to ride and dodge scooters at. Here’s a fresh video giving us a look at what Arnaud P. Paquin and Alexandre Therien threw down during their sessions at the park! Take a look!

““So it’s kind of tradition now for Big T & me to do a Taz edit every winter. This year we had some new obstacles to deal with, some really young snaker scooter kids.
