Josh Perry is one of those riders who is always on it and always a treat to watch ride whether it’s a new edit, a contest run or even a demo. Not only that, he’s been pretty consistent with filming and editing edits lately too. We figured since we haven’t talked to him since his interview that we dropped back in 2008, that it would be a good time to catch up with him to find out what’s new in his life. As expected, it sounds like he’s got a ton of good things going for himself. Check out what he had to say!

Eastern – Karl Poynter 2012 Japan Tour

Here’s the video from Karl Poynter’s recent trip to Japan for Eastern. It looks like Karl got to ride some real good spots and check out some awesome sights. Take a look!

“Adam Banton was recently in town so we headed to Greenville, NC to meet up with Josh Perry to have a cookout and ride his ramps at his house. Josh had his ramps pretty dialed while Adam added his original style riding to the mix. Josh’s room mates, Nick DiGeroloma and Vince Byron along with “Showtime” round out the session. It was a really hot day but a good time ensued.” – Eastern

A few years back I was watching the first AOTC video and I saw Brett Silva riding for the first time. I was thinking if this kid keeps it up he’s going to be real good. Then the second AOTC video came along and Brett’s name popped up again. Except this time he had progressed an insane amount. I will even go as far as saying it was one of my favorite sections in that whole DVD. I knew it would be a good idea to keep the kid on the radar and see where he goes with things.
Since then, Brett has found himself riding for Eastern and consistently dropping some fresh clips in edits that have been real impressive.
The other week, Scott Crivellaro sent through a photo of Brett doing that massive deck drop above All I could think is this kid is due for an interview on here. So Scott got me in touch with Brett and we fired him some questions to find out what he’s all about! Check out what he had to say…

2012 Shotgun Trails Jam

Some of the Eastern crew made a trip to the Shotgun trails. It looks like they managed to get some riding time in before it got a little soggy.

“The Shotgun Trails are less than an hour from Eastern Bikes. The locals have been working hard to get the trails ready and running smooth. Even though it rained in the afternoon everyone still have a great time. Here is a little video before the rain dumped down.”

Eastern recently sent Karl Poynter over to Japan to check it out for the first time. Here’s a slide show of photos he put together from the trip. Looks like he had a good time to me.

“This was my first time visiting Japan. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I was just excited and ready to go. I came back with a lot out of this trip on a personal level and connected with so many riders and most importantly good people. I was treated so well and felt so welcomed. As always, I had my camera with me to try and document anything I encountered. I have organized a collection of photos I personally shot to help show an insight of my time in Japan. I’d like to say thanks to Eastern Bikes, Vancho Bike, and all the ones I met during my tour. It’s an experience I’ll never forget.” -Karl Poynter

Eastern in Londrina, Brazil

“Last fall Adam Banton and myself went to Brazil to hang out at the Bike Expo trade show and visit some shops. We brought our bikes but did not have much time to ride. The one town we went to that had a really fun park was Londrina and there we only had about thirty minutes until we moved on. Here is a little video of those few minutes and some scenes from Brazil. Next time we go back we are spending a day here!” -Leigh Ramsdell
