It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these “The Art Of” pieces, so we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look at one part in particular that we’ve been thinking about lately, the BMX Sprocket. The other day we were bouncing around to a few different brands websites to see if there were any new products or anything else new to see, and we ended up staring at the sprockets. When you think about it, the sprocket is one of those things that can really be altered the most as far as aesthetics go. We’ve seen A LOT of sprockets in BMX’s history, so we decided to stick to sprockets that are currently available. Even with cutting it back to that, there’s still a ton of options available. Add in the different combos between the standard bolt drive, Spline drive, and socket drive, colors, versions with guards, etc. There’s a lot to take in. We bounced around and picked out some of our favorites from a number of brands, which you can check out below with a few words about each! Ready?
There’s no denying that Julian Arteaga has been on FIRE lately, so it’s no surprise Eclat decided to throw some extra fuel on the fire and send him off to New York City with filmer Francis Castro to see what they could cook up for clips. Needless to say, Julian had no trouble putting all four of is pegs and his freecoaster to proper use during the visit. Take a look!

Next up, we made our way over to the Eclat to see what Harry and Paul were up to, and to take a closer look at what they had on display at Frostbike 2016. As expected they had plenty to see, so let’s get into this and take a closer look! Funny story… The photo above took a couple tries to get just right, haha.

Wethepeople caught up with Dillon Lloyd to take a closer look at his signature Buck setup decked out with Wethepeople and Eclat parts from top to bottom in a new Bike Check. We’ve see most of the parts on his bike, but it does appear that he’s running a sample of the Alex Kennedy signature guard sprocket from Eclat that some people have been wondering about.
