It’s that time of the year when Canada is blanketed in snow and colder than a witches titty, so Dillon Lloyd has been spending his time staying warm and riding at Le Taz skatepark in Montreal! Eclat dropped this video giving us a look at a few clips he has stacked so far this winter!

There’s a lot of crazy things that can happen when you’re riding and there are A LOT of ways you can put yourself at risk for getting pretty seriously hurt, but that’s just part of the fun. Sam Jones found out that not all rails want to be grinded and almost got impaled when it decided to fight back! Check out this quick clip from Eclat to show you just how close he got to feeling the wrath of a snapped handrail!

These past two days have been interesting for those of you who are into grinding. Yesterday, we were given a sneak peek look at the Mutant Bikes External Hub Guard that is in the works, then today we got a look at Eclat’s Overguard that features a similar design that is also in the works. Shortly after being posted, the fine folks at OTX Design decided to get their trash talk on to remind us of the G-Sport Uniguard that we completely blanked on — which was our bad. Sorry, guys. So, instead of being a dick, I figured I’d post all three guards together to let everyone know that they will indeed have multiple options in the external hub guard department in the near future. Any one else have one coming?
Yesterday we got a sneak peek of Mutant’s External Hub Guard… Then today we woke up to an interesting message from Eclat that included photos of a similar hub guard they coincidentally are also working on one called the Overguard! Turns out we might just have a few options for these external hub guards in the near future which is a good thing. Here’s the direct word from Eclat about their guard… Check out more photos after the jump!
“In today’s world of peg trickery and heavy street riding, hub guards are simply a necessity for any rider. For 2015 we have been hard at work on a whole series of groundbreaking new products, designed with the modern street rider in mind. Here is a look at our new Overguard we’ve had in development for a while now. The Overguard is a universal drive-side hub guard. Fully CNC machined out of heat treated 4140 chromoly, this guard is not only totally indestructible but also highly functional. The idea came about when we realised how much hassle most riders have when trying to get a driver side hub guard that will be compatible with their rear hub and not be susceptible to damage. We went to the drawing board and what we came up with was a unique design that allowed the guard to fit to pretty much every hub/frame/peg on the market.
The advantage of using Chromoly for the Overguard is that it’s super strong, slides like butter and wont break the bank either. The two threaded bolts keep the guard in place and prevent it from moving. The guard is thin enough to sit between the peg and the dropout and then over your chain, simply bolt it on and you’re ready to give this thing some serious damage. The Overguard will also happily sit on your non-drive side too, so you can actually run two of these puppies and never worry about missing a grind again. The Overguard will be available later this year, look out for more info on this and other new Eclat products coming soon…”

Although Bruno Hoffmann has only been on the Eclat team for a few weeks now, he has taken a heavy liking to their Filter grip! They put up a little feature explaining the features of the grip and just why it’s so good right here. They also hint that they are working on something special with Bruno… So maybe he has his own grips coming? Only time will tell!
Here’s some big news for you! Alex Kennedy has joined the Eclat team! The guys over at DIG dropped the news with an interview and bike check that you can check out right here! Looks like Eclat is really stacking the team for 2015!
