Product: Eclat – Venom Pegs

March 17, 2014

Eclat just released this quick promo video giving us a closer look at their new Venom plastic sleeve peg that’s out now. Hit that play button.

“The Venom peg uses a two-piece steel/plastic design based on the ‘classic sleeve’ system. Our aim was to create a plastic sleeve peg with a diameter similar to a standard steel peg. This lead us down the route of a steel/plastic design with a slim crmo inner peg wrapped in a generous thickness of our specially developed (for the Nathan Peg) hardwearing nylon compound. When testing the prototypes we saw these pegs going beyond 6 months of hard riding! In a nutshell, if you want to grind fast give these a go.” – Eclat

Product: Eclat – The E-Tool

March 4, 2014

There are a handful of tool options that have become available since the original DK Multi-Tool hit the scene a few years back. The guys at Eclat have released their own version called the E-Tool, which features a clean and simple way of fixing anything and everything on your bike in this simple tube. Take a peek.

“The E-Tool is the Swiss-Army knife for your BMX. All the functions of the tool are hidden inside the anodised tube. Throw it in your bag and make sure you don’t lend it to anyone, as you’ll never get it back!”

“Episode 6 of the Éclat Natives series with Sean Burns. In March 2013 we set about filming and directing a six part series focusing on six individuals called Natives…

They are Nathan Williams, Shane Weston, Geoff Slattery, Darryl Tocco, Chester Blacksmith and Sean Burns. This, the final part is with Sean Burns. We visit his hometown, see where he grew up and ask him a few questions on the pain he ultimately inflicts upon his body each time he rides.

Eclat – Kolibri Hubs Promo

January 17, 2014

Take a closer look at the Kolibri hubs from Eclat in this new video they dropped today. After you check that out, get more info about each hub below!

“Kolibri Rear Cassette Hub:
The Kolibri cassette hub is all about simplicity. The hub shell is clean and simple that keeps the cnc machining time down and therefore the price. The flanges are nice and low and match better to the front hubs, so from the side view the bike has a nicely equal balance in the proportions. Sticking with a regular 14mm hollow axle helps keep the weight down, and a simple cassette system with a full bushing driver continues the ‘simple’ theme inside the hub too. So if you’re looking for a straight forward, clean and simple low flange cassette hub, here it is.

Kolibri Front Hub:
The Kolibri front hub is a clean, light and elegant piece of rolling technology. It features a simle low flange design made possible by using a smaller diameter bearings, 2 on each side to ensure it rolls as good as it looks. A straight forward 10mm regular axle making it incredibly light and great for rolling on and on and on…and on.
