I’ve known about this for a few months now, but it looks like it’s nearing it’s launch. Legend John Paul Rogers has teamed up with Tom Williams from Empire to start a new website called Collateral BMX. The website won’t be launching until around October, but you can find out what they’ve got cooking over on the Defgrip website. I’m excited to see this one launch.
If you caught my review of the new Empire Bad Idea DVD, you would have saw that I thought there wasn’t enough footage of Tom Smith around these days. I don’t know why there hasn’t been, but I definitely wanted to see more. Sure enough, today Empire released a damn good edit of Tom for you to check out right here. Get to it!

I’ve probably told this story a hundred times by now, but that’s fine. Flash back a few years ago to I think it was the 2008 NORA Cup during Interbike. I’m standing in this casino just in awe of everything going around me. My favorite pros, owners of companies, flashing lights and just general non-sense everywhere. All of the sudden this “slightly” intoxicated guy stumbles up to Brian Tunney and I (for some reason that’s what my mind keeps telling me who I was with at the time) and says “Hey, you guys want to see the trailer for the new Empire DVD?”. At the time, I didn’t know this was the one and only Dave Parrick…
Haha, there’s nothing better than putting a camera in front of a bunch of drunk BMX riders faces… The Empire video sounds like it turned out amazing… as expected. So stoked to see this.

Believe it or not… Empire‘s DVD “Bad Idea” is finally done! There will be a premiere in Long Beach, California on June 16th. If you hit the Odyssey website, you can check out a map for directions to the party. This video is bound to be absolutely epic, so I highly advise you are there if you can get there. Cannot wait to see this one.
