Hub Talk: Far East Cycles Freecoaster Hub How To

July 5, 2018

Get a detailed look at how the Far East Cycles Freecoaster hub comes apart and all the parts that make it work…

Here’s a video Jean William Prevost sent through giving us a detailed look at how the Far East Cycles Freecoaster hub comes apart and all of the parts that make it work, followed by how it’s put back together. This hub uses a unique driver system that is more like a cassette hub than a freecoaster since it doesn’t use a clutch like most of the other freecoaster options out there. This hub was designed for flatland, but we would imagine this could hold up to some street action, too. Hit play and take a closer look. You can pick this hub up for $169.99 – $319.99 depending on if you go with the titanium axle and driver or chromoly. You can see the options available over on Flatland Fuel!

“FEC hub inventor Ashao gets together with Jean William Prévost to take the hub apart and put it back together as they give some tips on how to use it and assemble/disassemble it correctly.” – Jean William Prevost

Far East Cycles – How A BMX Frame Is Made

July 6, 2016

If you love seeing how things are made, this is the video for you. This video gives you some insight and a behind the scenes look at just how Far East Cycles over in China make their flatland frames. Although they run things over in China, it’s similar to FBM and S&M who run things out of their own warehouse, versus shipping it off to a massive factory that makes more than just bikes. Hit play and check it all out. Real good watch and interesting to see the process, equipment they use and more.

“Far East Cycles is a Chinese made and designed BMX Flatland Brand, the owner and head manager at the FEC factory is WeiChangShao. ChangShao shows us the process of building a frame, why and how he does what he does. His brand was built over time hand in hand with Jean William Prévost and will now be distributed at select companies throughout the world. Fareast now sponsors riders from 4 countries and is moving forwards with the development of innovative and cost effective products for the benefit of flatlanders and riders around the planet.
To support FEC, you can go and like the facebook page ”Far East Cycles” and follow them on instagram.
