Flybikes – Sem Kok X Magneto Hubs

There has been a lot of hype for the Magneto hubs over the last decade, and I know there’s a ton of riders out there that wanted them, but gave up hope since they seemed like they would never actually happen. Well, they came out earlier this year and have been selling out each time. Flybikes dropped this short but sweet promo featuring Sem Kok putting the hubs to work with that sweet, sweet sound that they make. Hit play and enjoy. Flybikes – Larry Edgar 2020 Aire 2 Promo

Flybikes coming through with a fresh video featuring Larry Edgar putting his signature Aire 2 frame to work at a park out in California! This one is short, but very sweet. As always, Larry delivers with some real dialed riding with plenty of speed, style and boost! Hit play and take it all in.

“When Larry Edgar drops in, you know you’re going to see something wild. Larry’s ability to go insanely high, along with a ton of style, always makes for a good watch! When you go that big all the time, you need a frame that can hold up to the riding! The Larry Edgar signature Aire 2 frame was designed to let him blast without having to worry that his setup can handle it!

To help reduce the weight of the frame, we’ve gone with new tubing specs and a new 6mm. dropouts to help reduce the overall weight without sacrificing any of the strength. We’ve also made a few changes to give more riders options. The 2020 Aire 2 frame comes in a smaller 20.8” size that also utilizes a shorter 13” chainstay length to go along with the original 21” and 21.8” sizes that have a 13.8” chainstay length. Also, Larry requested that we change things up from the M8 style mounts to the EBS style mounts to make it easier to switch between brakes and brakeless riding.
The Aire 2 frame features internal and external gussets, multi-butted and tapered tubing, an Investment Cast seat post clamp with the Horizontal Cut System, removable EBS style brake mounts and Investment Cast Dropouts with integrated chain tensioners!

We’re not sure where Larry got the boost button installed, though.

Flybikes – Ruben II Grips

Get a look at the new Ruben II grips from Flybikes…

Over the years we’ve seen A LOT of products come and go from brands all over the world. One line of products that have stood the test of time have been the Ruben Alcantara signature line from Flybikes. The Ruben grips and Ruben Pedals have been apart of their line up for quite some time now and they really haven’t had too many changes made behind some small tweaks or adding a plastic version of the pedals for the riders who don’t prefer metal pedals.

After 15 years of production, Ruben decided he wanted to try out something new with his signature Ruben grips and went to work with Flybikes to create a new version of the grip that kept a similar pattern and feel, but had some key improvements. The Ruben II grips have a similar look, but an even better feel. They’ve removed the taper from the end of the grips, made the ribs on the grip thinner, taken the diameter down a bit to 29mm, and added a unique 45mm diameter flange that tapers with a mushroom pattern to give it a really comfortable feel.

The Ruben 2 grips have a 160mm length with a soft 25-degree rubber durometer and come in colors of Black and Gum with a $10 price tag. For those of you worried about the weight of your grips, these weigh in at 3.95 oz. (112 grams). Flybikes Quarantine Challenge – Giveaway

With the Coronavirus spreading like a wildfire and people being put on lock down and quarantine to try and flatten the curve and slow the spread, the crew at Flybikes have come up with a giveaway to help you pass the time and remind people to stay safe, along with get a chance at winning a brand new BMX frame from their 2020 frame line up.
