“Back in the mid-90s Mat Hoffman’s Bicycle Street contests were the shit, with street, vert, and flatland all being represented with both pro (stuntmen) and am (stuntboy) titles. The finals were held in Daytona Beach, FL in the fall of 1995.

Featuring Mat Hoffman, Dennis McCoy, John Parker, Josh Heino, Taj Mihelich, Chad DeGroot, Joe Rich, Rooftop, Rick Moliterno, Jay Miron, Michael Steingraeber, Kevin Robinson, Dave Osato, Stuart King, Eben Krackau, Rob Sigaty, Sandy Carson, Jon Taylor, Mike Ocoboc, Trevor Meyer, Chuck D, Rob Nolli, Jimmy Walker, Jason Brown, Todd Lyons, John Englebert, and other top riders of the day. Stew Johnson and Mark Losey even get clips!

This was shot in Hi8 cameras 16 years ago so the video might look a little sketchy.

The original version did not have name titles, this version has many of the riders identified.

I decided to post this video for free for all to see (not as a paid download), as a way to give back to the industry / my friends who made all the years of riding so much fun.

I’m sure for all the guys who have been riding for years, you can remember your first custom complete you built up. My first was a MacNeil Ruben, with a bunch of Primo, and We The People parts. I remember wanting a MacNeil so bad because their team and everything was awesome. The frame still hangs in my garage to this day, I don’t plan on getting rid of it either. Needless to say I have been a Jay Miron fan for years, and just having a conversation with him at Interbike last year was one of the top things I did while in Las Vegas. It was time to do an interview with him, and this one is broke into two. You can check out some classic photos and some more questions over on the Dig site.
