Nowear BMX – Miah’s Mini Has Begun

The Nowear Compound is expanding in memory of Jaramiah Droescher.

Over the years we’ve seen the Nowear Compound in Nebraska grow and change, making for an amazing riding spot in the middle of Nebraska for everyone to ride entirely for free thanks to donations and grants that they’ve secured as a non-profit organization. Now, they’re working on their next expansion and it’s in memory of Jaramiah Droescher, who tragically passed away, with their new Miah’s Mini Ramp room. Here’s a quick video Karl Hinkley put together to show the current progress, along with what the future holds. This looks like it’s going to be amazing and definitely an amazing way to honor Jaramiah’s memory. You can learn more about the Nowear Compound and how to donate to the cause right here.

“It’s the 2025 Giving Tuesday campaign for The Nowear Compound Nonprofit.

Money from this years campaign will go directly towards an expansion project extending our already free indoor park by another 30%.
This will provide a new room housing 2 mini ramps back to back.
We have received a grant recently helping fund majority of whats needed for the project.
We need your help to cross the finish line. We began construction Oct 8th and will continue to build as soon as winters breaks.

Anyone that has put on an event before knows how important it is to have the support from the brands that keep everyone rolling. The Nebraska BMX Freestyle series had a ton of support, and Nowear and Karl Hinkley wanted to come up with a unique way to thank every one of them. This is dwefinitely awesome, so check it out!

“The 2025 Nebraska BMX Freestyle Series went off!
Hosted at The Nowear Compound in Unadilla Nebraska.
The entire season was an absolute blast and the camaraderie with every class was so awesome to see.
The younger kids has huge support through the year with their folks cheering them on and bragging about their progress.
Lots of dads joined in and decided to compete themselves, at times it looked like they had even more fun than their kids.

This series had great prizes bags for the top places every class and every round thanks to the support of all the great companies listed below.

$500 was given out to the pros every round and our middle of Nowear event combined with round 2 of our stop we gave away $5500.

None of this would have been possible without the support of everyone.

When the crew at Nowear throw a contest at the Nowear compound out in Nebraska, you know it’s going to be a good time! The Middle of Nowear contest went down a few weekends back, and it was a full house with riders from the young guns to the old dogs, along with plenty of Pros in the mix. Here’s a highlight video showing you all the crazy riding that went down. Check it!

“The third annual Middle of Nowear contest was off the hook! Every class threw down from beginners to old guys, culminating with 20 pro entrees batting it out for $5000.

The vibes could not have been higher. From the beautiful rider camaraderie, great local food, and stories shared around the campfire, it was a truly epic event that left everyone wanting more. This competition is here to stay with continued plans to run annually in April with a large pro purses and tons of prizes for all other classes.

Last year BMX lost a good one when Jaramiah Droescher passed away. Karl Hinkley, owner of Nowear BMX, was close like Jaramiah and wanted to do something special as a tribute bike to him. Over the years we’ve watched Karl Hinkley turn Nowear BMX from a simple clothing brand into a full blown non-profit with a whole compound of ramps and trails that are available to all riders for free. Karl is one of those guys that truly loves BMX with everything he has, and in turn he’s helped out so many riders along the way. Nowear BMX – Colorado Weekend 2023

The Nowear crew spent a weekend in Colorado!

There’s not much for information on this one, but Karl Hinkley and some of the Nowear BMX team loaded up for a trip to Colorado to ride some of the amazing concrete parks, backyard ramps and more. Here’s a look at what they got into. It looks like it was a productive weekend to us!
