Kink – One Hit Wednesday: Dan Coller

Kink dropped this weeks One Hit Wednesday video featuring Dan Coller with a HUGE feeble 360 down in Mexico City! If you never saw the Kink in Mexico City video or would just like to re-watch it, you can check that out RIGHT HERE!

“We were fortunate enough to visit Mexico City in March of 2014. Although we were slightly intimidated by the city’s public perception as crime ridden and violent, we could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The city was vibrant and beautiful, the people were welcoming, and the spots were amazing. This particular plaza was stacked with setups, the scariest being this right side out ledge. Dan stepped up to the feeble 3 and laced it first try, just after Tony Hamlin was nearly arrested for drinking a beer at the base of the stairs. Nice one, Dan.

Kink – One Hit Wednesday: Aaron Smith

Kink dropped this weeks One Hit Wednesday and it features a gnarly clip from Aaron Smith doing a wall ride down in Texas. This one would be super scary once… Can’t imagine having to do it twice! Check it!

“This was the final clip filmed during the making of Squash It. Aaron was in Austin for the last bit of filming and happened to get his ender on the last day of his trip. This part of town is extremely busy and campus police in Austin are notorious when it comes to BMX, so needless to say, we were happy to get out of there with a crazy clip and no police or security. Shout out to Kurtis Elwell on this one. Boss. ”

Kink – One Hit Wednesday: Sean Sexton

Kink just sent through this weeks One Hit Wednesday and it’s a rough one featuring Sean Sexton taking a slam that took him out for a little while last year! Watch Sean’s SXTN PROMO that he was filming for when this happened!

“The BMX crash clip is something that represents the trials, tribulations, and the more serious side of filming and riding BMX. As of the past few years, the online crash clip has lost its place in BMX, and turned more into a “shock the audience” upload, for garnering attention and views. When we post something like this, it is because an intense amount of time, money, thinking, passion, and planning, went into whatever it is we were doing at that moment…and sometimes it just doesn’t work out…and that is part of BMX and what we do.

While on the first filming trip, in Tampa, Florida early 2014 for last week’s SXTN release, Sean came across this 180 rail hop he was into. He popped over it casually the first time, but landed a bit weird and blew the roll out. On the second attempt he missed his pop on the 180, and needless to say, we went straight to the hospital. Sean was on a flight home the next morning and in surgery by the following day. Brutal. ” – Kink

For this weeks One Hit Wednesday from Kink, we get a look at Tony Hamlin getting upside down on a crazy spot he came across in Mexico last year. If you’re psyched on this go watch the entire KINK IN MEXICO CITY 2014 video! It’s a super dialed BMX video.

“While cruising around on our Mexico City tour last year, we came across these “tea cups” that we had recognized from previous bmx videos. They were super hard to ride and none of us could really come up with anything. Tony didn’t seem to be having trouble and eventually started toying with the idea of flipping it. The first attempt was super sketchy, he basically front cased the edge of the cup. Somehow, next try he pulled it perfectly, and we had a good laugh at how ridiculous this clip is.”

Insight: Kink – Yukon Cassette Hub and Complete Wheel

The other day we posted up the Kink 2015 Parts Collection catalog up on the site that gave us a good look at their full range of frames and parts that Kink have released worldwide this month. Inside, we caught a look at a few items that really caught our eye, including the new Yukon cassette hub. We were curious to find out just what made up this cassette hub, so we got in touch with the guys over in New York and got all the specs and details.
