This time around he gives us a look at what he got into during a recent trip to FLorida to get some riding time in at the parks, street spots and Sparky’s Distribution warehouse ramps with Trey Jones, Jabe Jones, Matt Ray, Ryan Sher and more! Shadow Conspiracy – Mark Burnett Field Notes: Arizona

Mark Burnett and Jabe Jones go to work in Arizona…

The Shadow Conspiracy have released another round o Field Notes from Mark Burnett. This time around Mark and Jabe Jones get down in Arizona with some guest clips from Kyle Hart, Jeff Wescott and more. As expected, this has some real solid riding mixed in with plenty of laughs. We’re not sure how Mark was able to edit this video listening to this song over and over again, but he managed to knock it out before losing his mind. Check it!

Mark Burnett recently made the trip to Arizona to work on his “Welcome to Subrosa” edit at the same time Jabe Jones was out working on a separate project. Field notes continues as a documentation of what happens behind the scenes on trips like this. Featuring clips from Mark Burnett, Jabe Jones, Kyle Hart, and more. Subrosa – Mark Burnett Welcome Video

Here it is! Mark Burnett’s welcome to Subrosa video has dropped and it’s absolute FIRE.

It was announced a few weeks back that Mark Burnett had parted ways with his long time sponsor, Sunday Bikes, to join the Subrosa team. Once the news dropped, Mark hopped a plane to Arizona and went to work stacking a TON of heavy clips for this welcome video! Even on a short timeline, Mark was able to stack all sorts of wild clips from big grinds to crazy combos filled with nose balance, barspins, tailwhips and more. This turned out damn good and it’s an absolute MUST SEE. Expect to see plenty more from Mark this year since it seems like the Subrosa team have been making some big moves for 2018.

Subrosa – Mark Burnett Bike Check

Mark Burnett’s first Bike Check since joining the Subrosa squad…

It was announced the other week that Mark Burnett had joined the Subrosa Brand team. With that news, it was time for Mark to build up a brand new bike, and he chose Simone Barraco‘s signature Noster S frame for his first Subrosa build decked out top to bottom in Subrosa and The Shadow Conspiracy parts, including a handful of his own signature parts like the Odin stem and his new Penumbra seat. You can check out a bunch of photos and a full parts list over on the Subrosa Website now.

Expect to see Mark putting this beast to good use in his welcome video that’s expected to drop next Monday!

Here’s a video that you’ll want to check out! “The CYB DVD” is a video Mark Burnett and his friends put together over the course of about 2 years of filming missions and a handful of setbacks that would have crushed most video projects. This video is just over 30 minutes long and features a handful of riders you might not be all too familiar with beyond Mark who has been impressing everyone for years now. This is jam packed with awesome riding and good vibes, making for a great watch from start to finish. Check it out!

“3 years ago my friends and I started out filming for something with no real destination. Fast forward 2 years and we had something. Everybody had crushed it and things were falling into place quite nicely. I had no real experience with a project of this size before so there were some setbacks. Without a doubt the biggest issue I ran into was on Christmas Eve of 2016 when I accidentally deleted the whole video off of my computer. Devastated and unmotivated, the project fell to a stand still. Over the next 8 months or so I slowly recaptured and logged all of the footage. As I was gearing up to finally finish the thing, my computer shit the bed and it seemed like I wasn’t gonna be able to get the files off of my old laptop to move machines. With a little technical help I slowly retrieved the video, piece by piece. If it had been up to me I would’ve been over it, but I couldn’t do that to my friends. These guys are my peers, my favorite riders, my brothers. The video was about, or so I thought, 80% done when the premiere got put into place. We reserved the date of September 22nd in early august, just as I had left for a 3 week trip overseas. Here I am, hard drive-less for 3 weeks a little less than 2 months before the premiere. The moment I got home it was game on. This was the only time in my life where I was glad to have come down with a cold and on top of that it rained for 3 days. I sat in my room, under a blanket and in front of my computer for most of a week, fine tuning and simultaneously losing my mind. I sent the video out to get duplicated on the 6th of September and picked the copies up at UPS the morning of the premiere. As stressful as it had been, it all worked out and I got to enjoy the fruits of our labor that night sitting next to all the homies and our adjacent loved ones. In order of appearance, the video stars Jared Butler, John Bohanski, Rojay Ragbeer, Nick Hay, Robby Surooj, Brandon Fraser, Damin Walton, Devon Swahlan, and myself Mark Burnett. Filmed solely on VX 2000’s in Upstate New York. This is the CYB DVD.” – Mark Burnett

Mark Burnett On Subrosa Brand

Mark Burnett has joined the Subrosa Pro team!

The other week it was announced that Mark Burnett had parted ways with long time sponsor Sunday Bikes. At the time, the news was a complete surprise and we were immediately trying to figure out where Mark got a better offer. Immediately, it had the same feel as when Trey Jones had decided to part ways with Cult a few weeks earlier. With Mark’s ties to The Shadow Conspiracy, we had a really good suspicion that Mark was also joining Subrosa. We honestly had no idea when we put that guess out there, but it apparently correct since Subrosa just announced Mark has joined their team! With the addition of Trey and Mark, the Subrosa team is definitely making some serious moves or 2018. This should lead to some amazing things. Get ready!

Here’s a look at a video Mark whipped up for The Shadow Conspiracy giving us a look at what he got into for riding during a stay in Barcelona with Simone last month. “For those of you who don’t know, which I assume is most, I used to make iPhone style web videos for my own YouTube channel. Basically they were just a regurgitation of anything I had on my camera roll, dumped over top of a Juicy J or Meek Mill song. With Instagram having video capabilities, it’s been a while since I’ve made a video like this but it’s definitely something I still enjoy doing. I wanted to bring it back, and so I did. Here’s the first edition of Field Notes, a log of all things Mark. This one is from the 3 weeks I spent in Barcelona during late January through early February staying on Simone’s couch. Enjoy!””

Mark Burnett Is No Longer Riding For Sunday Bikes

Mark Burnett has parted ways with the Sunday Bikes team…

Here’s some surprising news we did NOT see coming! Mark Burnett is no longer riding for Sunday Bikes! It sounds like Mark had a new opportunity come up that he decided to pursue, but ended things on a positive note with Sunday. Above is a quick farewell video Sunday put together and below you can find a few words from Sunday’s Team Manager, Walter Pieringer, and some words from Mark about the news!

“Sad news, Mark Burnett is moving on to new opportunities. Mark is one of the most talented and determined riders I’ve met, and it’s been a treat seeing him come into his own over the past five years and establish himself as a true force in modern-day BMX. Mark’s been a big part of Sunday for a long time, and we’re bummed to lose him but excited everyone will still get to watch him be just so ridiculously dialed over at his new spot, which he’ll be telling you about soon. Everybody at Sunday wishes Mark nothing but the best.” – Walter Pieringer, Sunday TM

“This hasn’t been an easy decision, but ultimately it was a move I have decided to make. As of today I will no longer be riding for @sundaybikes. This is absolutely not a move of hate, but a move of love. I want to personally thank @thejakeseeley and @walterpieringer as well as everybody else I have shared this experience with. It is the reason why I am who I am, why I’ve seen the things I’ve seen, and why I’ve been able to accomplish the things I have. With that said however, I couldn’t be more excited for the future. Any guesses where you think Mark is going? I personally, 100% guessing right now, could see him rolling over to Subrosa since he’s already a part of The Shadow Conspiracy and it seems like they’ve been making some changes to their Pro team as of late, like the addition of Trey Jones, so that’s a possibility. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens!
