It’s not every day that I have the opportunity to introduce a new brand to the world. It’s not that there’s a lack of new brands these days, but there is a lack of brands that get me excited when I heard about them. And Forks is a new brand (so new that their website isn’t even up yet) coming from the master mind of Mark Noble, the owner of the trails directed brand Deluxe, that focuses specifically on one main product… forks. Don’t get the wrong idea, street guys. This isn’t a trails specific brand, in fact, I think you might be shocked at who is actually on the team for this new project.
And Forks wasn’t going to debut until Interbike, but after a little convincing, Mark decided to answer some questions about the brand to let you know what’s On The Horizon for this new project. So let’s take a look at what the And Forks is all about…

Go to PropsBMX.tv for more videos.
Mark Potoczny is seriously one of the best dudes around. Here’s his old Props Bio from Issue 67. Enjoy!
“Hailing from Independence, PA, a 22 year old Mark Potoczny rips up street, trails, outdoor parks, indoor parks, backyard ramps, and has some good crashes as well.

Insight: Deluxe PAModel

A few months back, we caught up with Mark Potoczny to talk about how things were going with Deluxe and to talk a little bit about what he had in the works with his signature frame. One thing that I think a lot of people don’t know about BMX products, especially signature products, is the steps and how long it can take to get something from the idea to final production model. There’s a lot of options and angles to consider when designing a frame and Mark has been finding that out the last few months. I figured we could catch up with Mark Potoczny and Mark Noble (owned of Deluxe) to talk about how the process is coming along and find out what they have decided on for the production model. I’ve also got some sneak peek photos of Mark’s signature frame along with a few real rad riding photos courtesy of Brian Yeagle! Let’s take a look…

Mark Potoczny Bike Check
Deluxe posted up a few photos of Mark Potoczny’s bike… with his prototype frame. The only downside to this is that it was recently STOLEN. That makes for both prototypes (Mark’s and Max’s) being stolen in the last month or so. Apparently people really want these frames since they can’t even wait for them to come out to get one. Hit this link to check out more photos. Expect an update interview on Mark’s frame this week!
Potoczny Brothers Interview
The two raddest brothers I can think of, Mark and Mike Potoczny, have an interview up on Ride BMX talking about what it’s like having a brother that rides. Gotta love these guys. They’re the best.
Product Talk: Potoczny Deluxe Frame
Mark Potoczny is a rad dude. There’s plenty of good times that I’ve had because of him and his brother, and I’m sure a lot of other people can say the same. When I found out he was working on a signature frame from Deluxe, I hit up Mark to see if he would be into talking a little bit about the frame and the process for creating his first signature frame with Deluxe. Check out what he had to say along with some photos that I shot during the Welcome Jam this past summer, then let him know what you think in the comments!
Sun Ringle “America” Trip 3
And finally, the last of the photos from the Sun Ringle road trip. These last ones are from the last couple days we spent in Pittsburgh and at the Potoczny’s house for the Welcome Jam.

On The Road Again
It looks like today I’ll be heading out on another road trip adventure. This time around Reed Stark and I will be making our way over to Milwaukee, Wiscompton to meet up with the Sun Ringle team and loading up the van. We will be hitting the DK Dirt Circuit on Sunday and then a full week of unplanned adventures that will end up in Pennsylvania for the Welcome Jam at the Potoczny house. Followed by a straight shot back to Milwaukee. I’ll be trying to do photo updates as much as possible but since we’re going to be camping out everyday the wi-fi might be a bit limited. Tony Malouf is coming along as well to film so there should be at least a video or two coming from him too. Get psyched!
