With the way things are these days, linking up with a filmer can be a little tricky. Woozy BMX reached out to Murray Loubser to see if he wanted to do a self-filmed tripod edit around some of his local spots down in South Africa. Here’s the end result! Plenty of great riding with some insights from Murray on what went into making this one happen.

“Watch BMX rider Murray Loubser transported from a lecture room into a BMX scene scape, then take a behind-the-scenes look at the creative team that brought this project to life.
“We had been shooting photos for so long now and shapes were appearing in images we were shooting in the architecture and how the shadows were being cast and the idea was to do a project to capture those shapes as the key interest in the gallery we wanted to shoot,” Murray says.
“The idea of ‘Shapes’ is to capture the architecture and the geometric patterns that you find occurring in the city and showcasing those in the way a BMX would see his surroundings.”

You should know by now that when you see Murray Loubser‘s name pop up, you’re going to see something wild. When Odyssey released their “AT EASE” video, we were stoked to see a full part loaded with bangers from Murray in it. Well, his section is now online individually for you to enjoy again! Hit play and take in all the bangers he was laying down during his time in the U.S! After watching this, go re-watch the full video here — Odyssey “AT EASE” – Full Video
“Murray Loubser hails from South Africa but made the trek out to California for 6 weeks with the squad. Murray seemingly has it all; absurd technical skill, a good eye for spots, clean style, and the urge to SEND IT on the big setups. Not to mention the dude is one of the most polite and mild-mannered individuals I’ve ever met. After clocking a handful of gnarly “stunts” in the first week or two of his stay, it became clear that Murray would likely be holding down the last section of the video. Sit back, relax, and enjoy Murray’s closing section from “At Ease”.

Now this is what’s up! A heavy hitting crew took a trip to South Africa to explore the spots, take in the sights and absolutely crush everything they came across from street spots and ditches to cement parks and more. Here’s a look at what they got into with a ton of dialed clips, and plenty of laughs and good times along the way. If you like speed and style, this is the BMX video for you.
“An absolutely stacked squad of Greg Illingworth, Boyd Hilder, Dan Lacey, Murray Loubser, Jason Watts, and Corey Walsh trip around South Africa, riding some of the best ditches, pools and street spots in the world! The vibe on this trip was incredible and the video captures the true energy and beauty of South Africa and the crew.
Thanks to Monster Energy and Vans for supporting this trip (always support the brands that support the lifestyle you enjoy). Greg Illingworth for organizing all of it and inviting us along, Andrew Knight for being down to go to SA for us and filming this epic vid for us.” – Our BMX

“We tagged along during some of the filming for Odyssey’s latest video, At Ease, and caught some behind the scenes action with Preston Okert, Hilario Olivos, Jerome Odesa, and Murray Loubser. Following the showing of At Ease at Golden Days Bike Shop, we had Preston, Hilario, and Jerome watch the raw cuts of their behind the scenes footage and narrate what was going on (and Murray did the same, back home in South Africa). At Ease is an incredible video featuring bangin’ riding from all of Odyssey’s young-guns, here’s a little glimpse into what went into the filming…” – Our BMX
