Whenever Cult throw a jam, you know it’s going to be a good time and a full house fro pros and locals who are down for a good time. Here’s a raw cut from the “End of Summer Gathering” jam that went down this past weekend. The alleyway was packed and there was no shortage of dialed riding going down. Take a look!

Cult – Nick Tellez Bike Check

Cult coming through with a fresh Bike Check with Nick Tellez and his brand new TRF setup that he’s running decked out with parts from Cult and Demoltion Parts. This bike is built to ride a little bit of everything, and it’s safe to say Nick is one of the few holdouts on keeping the bars lower. Overall, it looks like one hell of a BMX bike to us. Here’s a really rad feature on BMX rider and professional photographer Nick Tellez where you get a little insight into just how he got to where he is today from his start of riding BMX to his photo work that he has pursued that is still based around BMX, along with surfing, models, motorcycles and more! Nick is a super talented rider and photographer, and we’ve featured his work here on BMX Union a number of times. It’s rad to see him get some more recognition for his work. One thing we’re always on the look for are photographers that are shooting amazing photos that you may not have known about. The other day we spotted some photos of Nick Tellez’s on the Cult website and we quickly realized that we had blown it. It turns out that Nick has been shooting some really good photos for a while now and had some how missed it… Until now. Some of you, like ourselves, might be more familiar with Nick through his riding. Over the past few years we’ve had the opportunity to see him crush it in videos as he still does today, which is probably why we failed to notice his other talent.
We decided it was a good idea to hit up Nick and talk about his photo work, how he got started, where it has lead him so far and most importantly, get some more eyes on his work! Check out the interview below then check the PHOTOGALLERY for a better look at his work!

“iPhone 4/4s only. JJ Anderwald and i saved clips of our homies over the past few months. We recently decided to put a lil something together. It all includes myself, Mondo Ruiz, JJ Anderwald, Dave Escobar, Pat Casey, Ryan Costa, Larry Alverado, Justin Henninger, and Tyler Kirkland. Obviously this edit was nothing serious but still worth watching a group of friends having fun on bikes all through the lens of an iPhone. Its 2012, who needs DSLR’s and VX’s!
After making this first one, we decided we’ll put more effort into making better ones in the future. By better i mean filming, no resis and no self shots. This was a “lets see how it comes out” kinda thing.

A Day at Chino with Nick Tellez
