Review: iPath Grasshopper Vibram

Unless you have been completely out of the loop, a few weeks back iPath started making a few real big moves in their BMX department for 2012. They picked up the BMX shoe guru Brian Osborne and shortly after announced the addition of Van Homan, Seth Kimbrough, Shane Weston and Alex Magallan. Now, unless you just don’t care about BMX, this is a pretty big deal. The brand needed a pretty big change to really start appealing to riders again. Without any doubt, I think they hit things right on the nuts with this crew.
With all of the goodness coming from them, I decided it would probably be a good time to take a closer look at the brands products. In this review, I’ll give you the break down of their Grasshopper Vibram shoe along with some Insight to two other shoes that I’ve been trying out for a few weeks now; the Stash and Iconic.

Review: Almond Belmont Shoes + Giveaway

A few weeks back, I received a care package from Almond. They had sent over a pair of Ben Hucke’s new signature Belmont model shoe to check out and spend some time riding in. When I opened the box up, I found not just one, but two pairs of the shoes. They said I could keep them to myself, or I could give the extra pair away to a lucky fan of The Union, who happens to wear a size 10.5. So, I have been wearing the shoes for a few weeks now and figured I’d give you some insight on what the shoe is all about, how well they held up and my personal opinion on the shoe. Review: The Hunt DVD + Giveaway

Well, the day has finally come to check out the final product from The Hunt. I grew up being a big fan of the original Aspire videos, so when Justin Kosman told me he was working on a similar video contest with a twist, I was more than psyched to see what would come from it. It was cool to watch the video develop from the concept to a full blown contest with a ton of real good riders and filmers submitting parts to finding out who made the cut. I received my copy in the mail the other day and what do I find? An extra copy to GIVE AWAY to one of you guys! So if you want to win the video, all you have to do is do one or two things. 1.) comment “I want that DVD!” in the comments on this post, or 2.) head over to The Union’s Facebook and comment on the photo of the DVD case “I want that dvd!”… easy as that! Review: FBM – Thousand Yard Stare + Trailer

The other day, Steve Crandall hit me up with an email that simply said “What are you doing?”. I responded with “Not too much. What’s going on?”. This isn’t normal, so I knew something was up. I just didn’t know what. The next email popped up and asked if I would be interested in checking out the brand new FBM full-length DVD “Thousand Yard Stare”. Video? What? Hell yeah I would! Shortly after I was sent a sneak peek link with a password to get a special screening. We decided it would be pretty cool to drop the trailer with the review. So you’re getting a double whammy today. A few months ago a trailer for a new video popped up. That’s not anything too uncommon, but when I saw it was a new video by Elliot Van Orman my interest perked up a bit.
