Access Darnied 2012 Trip

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to go on a number of road trips that have brought me thousands of miles from home. It’s one of those things in life I suggest every BMX rider does at least once in their life. Go outside of the comfort zone and experience places you never thought you would be. Things might not go to plan, but that’s why you gotta do it. There’s no way for you to know where things will go.

The past few years, I’ve had the chance to do a handful of trips with the crew from Milwaukee. The last three years I’ve made my way to meet up with them to load up in the van and head towards Toronto for the annual BMX jam. Each year, there were some unexpected moments, but I don’t think anything can top what happened this year…

Jeff Dowhen handled most of the filming and all of the editing with the help of myself and Jon Wells for some of the filming. Toronto Trip 2011

BMX road trip

Well, look at that… A whole week has flown by and I don’t even know where it went. Well, I do since there’s a whole bunch of content up on the site now. What I mean is that I got back from Toronto last monday and haven’t posted up the random photos I shot on the trip. Last thursday I made my way over to Milwaukee to meet up with Jon Wells, Jeff Dowhen, Grant Castelluzzo, Tippy and Nirve where we all loaded into the infamous Sun Ringle van and headed towards Canadia for the Toronto BMX Jam. Toronto BMX Jam

Tomorrow I’ll be making my way over to Milwaukee to load up in the Sun Ringle van with Jon Wells, Jeff Dowhen, Grant Castelluzzo, and a few others to make the trip to Toronto for the annual Toronto BMX Jam. I’ll hopefully be shooting a few photos, if I can get my pass that I haven’t heard back about. If it goes anything like last year, it will be a good time. It sounds like we will be uniting with most of Team Jeff DuPaul. That’s a good sign. After the trip I will hopefully be able to unleash some news on you guys that I think you will be stoked on. Get psyched.

Alright, today has been a long awaited day for me. Today I pack my car up and head over to Milwaukee. I’ll be meeting up with Jon Wells, Jeff Dowhen and a few others where we will be loading up the Sun Ringle van and making the trek up to Toronto for the jam this weekend. I’ve never been to the land of Canarnia, or out east at all really, so it should be a fun trip. The game plan for me is to document the trip as well as I can and post up photos, words, and maybe a video from the trip between here and the Dig site. Given the wi-fi might be limited so these updates could go on into next week after I return on Tuesdayish.

So if you will be in Toronto this weekend I look forward to seeing you, and if not, I hope I can at least give you a little insight as to why you should go next year.
