Fly Bikes have been busy posting up previews of their 2016 line of products over the past few weeks. Today they dropped a preview of their new Earth Brown colorway that will be available on their Devon grips, the new Roey grip and the Ruben Alcantara signature grips, pedals and tire later this year around September / October. This kit will be a trails riders best friend!
Fly Bikes have been giving us previews of their 2016 products that will be available later this year over the course of the past few weeks. This week they introduced us to the two new colors that the Ruben Alcantara signature Ruben Rampera tire will be available in; Earth brown with a black sidewall and white with a black sidewall. These two colors will be available along with the existing colors of black and Military green through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Fly Bikes worldwide sometime around September / October. Here’s a pretty amazing story for you young guns looking for some inspiration! Leon Angel Restrepo pulled together enough money to make it from Colombia to go to Estonia for Simple Session. While he was there, although he didn’t really have a plan, Ruben Alcantara was stoked enough to take the kid in for a little in Malaga, Spain for while before heading to France for FISE this week! They had some time, so Leon got the chance to film this dialed video from some of the sessions he got in at Ruben’s park! Needless to say, this kid has A LOT of talent and I have a feeling he will be one rider we need to keep an eye out for! I mean let’s be real… If Ruben Alcantara is down to put you up and help get your name out, you are doing something right!
“Angel is a true adventurerer. To fulfill his dream of traveling europe his hometown collected money, so he can compete at Simple Session and Fise. He got a bit of lost in estonia but luckely he run into the right person. Ruben Alcantara. Ruben invited him to Malaga where he stayed for a couple of days to prepare him for FISE Contest this week. Ruben and me shared Ideas of how we could help this brave young man and we came up with the idea to make a video for him.
With just a few hours to go we had no choice but to film in the burning sun but he took it like a champ. You could feel his strong will to progress and explore his own and the boundaries of bmx in general. Dont be fooled, this was just him warming up. He got all sorts of frontflip combos and even cashrolls in his bag. Remember the Name !

Ruben Alcantara’s signature Rampera tire from Fly Bikes got some new color this year to go along with the existing black and black with tan sidewall. The Rampera tire is also now available in Military green with black sidewall and black with Military green sidewall. This tire features a low profile tread design that provides plenty of traction on ramps, street and trails with a silk worm anti-puncture casing and a wire bead to keep it on your rim. The Ruben Rampera tire is available in 20 x 2.15″ and 20 x 2.35″ with a weight of 21.86 oz. (2.15″) and 26.1 oz. (2.35″) through all shops and mail-orders that carry Fly Bikes world wide!
