DIY BMX Peg GoPro Mount

March 20, 2017

We’re always interested in seeing some of the unique modifications that people are doing with their BMX bikes. With the increase of riders looking for unique angles, there are plenty of creative ways people are attaching their GoPro Cameras to their bikes, helmets, etc. Sam Baskett came up with a creative way to attach a camera to your peg that gives you a pretty interesting angle. It’s a bit of work, but he explains step by step how to do it. We’re pretty sure this would only work with metal pegs, but it might be doable with a plastic peg as well. Hit play and get a look at how this all works, along with a whole bunch of footage from some riding time he got with the camera on the bike.

“Loads of people asked about this, and what the crack was with it. So the easiest way to explain, was to make a video. A video based on my favourite GoPro mounts, and what I use for my vlogs etc. Then I do a how to, on how to make a BMX peg GoPro mount. The POV you get is pretty awesome, although, the GoPro is always exposed to getting damaged, so please be aware and keep it safe if you decide to copy this idea. As you will see in this video, my GoPro did fly off at one point, due to landing to hard whilst grinding. GoPro sessions would be a better option, due to its size. So I hope you enjoy this video, any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Ebay is the way forward to purchase all the wacky things in life“

Sam Baskett – Officially In The 30 BMX Club

February 13, 2017

Sam Baskett is kicking off the dirty 30 with a look back at some of his riding over the years.

Sam Baskett sent through his latest video that celebrates rolling over level 3. This video starts out with a bit of a VLOG, but after the two minute mark, we get a look at a few of the different bikes he has over the years, then it gets into riding and crash footage that spans a number of years. This has a mix of street, trails and ramp riding, some gnarly drops and more. It’s safe to say Sam has had a lot of fun on his bikes over the years, and a few not so pleasant experiences, haha. Check it!

“YEP, I am now officially 30 years young. Life begins at 30 I say. I have my aches, in have my pains, but I also have the best memories ever. And its all to do with riding bikes. I will never achieve greatness with bike riding, but I will achieve more friendships and video memories, and maybe, just maybe, tick a few more life dreams off my list. I can’t share those life dreams, until I achieve them. But all in good time. Riding bikes over 15 years has produced its fair shares of ups and downs, but the ups out weigh the downs by a mile. Im a sketchy ass bike rider, who just loves to get loose and pedal my ass off, nothing will ever change, lets see what this 30 life is all about. Hope you enjoy this one, thanks for watching.”

Sam Baskett – Best of 2016

January 2, 2017

Sam Baskett sent through this compilation of his best footage from this past year featuring him, Tom Isted, Joel Anderson and a few more of his friends getting down on BMX bikes and mountain bikes. This has a good mix of footage, styles, tricks and more keeping it interesting from start to finish. Take a peek!

“I had to do a montage, based on all the madness that went down in 2016. To think I only started these vlogs in August 2016 and the amount of crazy edits that occurred was awesome. Hope you enjoy this, 2017 is looking like a crazy year as well. Got trips booked to Barcelona, Florida and amongst all that il be adapting the Baskett yard for more crazy sessions. Thanks for watching my videos, appreciate it a lot.“

Epic Fails Compilation – Part 2

December 24, 2016

Sam Baskett sent through another batch of clips from crashes and fails that he collected over the past few years for you to check out. Much like Epic Fails Compilation Part 1, we get a ton of BMX crashes, along with a few randoms like roller blades, mountain bikes and more. Take a peek!

“When I said I have recorded a lot of fails, bails, crashes over the years, I wasn’t joking, Here is montage 2, another 10minutes of brutal crashes and epic fails, for your entertainment. No one died in the filming of these crashes, plenty of lumps and bumps, but awesome memories. Like I said before, I always see crashes as Epic attempts rather than epic fails. But I know most people see it as fails, so that’s what ill call it. Episode 3 needs a few more fails and it will be uploaded soon. I don’t go out purposely wanting crash footage, but in my line of work and the things I do and film, crashing is always part of the game. thanks for watching and hope you enjoy” – Sam Baskett
