Snakebite coming through with the bonus section from the “Building The Underground” video that came out back in 2005. This section is loaded with Northwest gold from the trails and a bit of skatepark footage. This has a really laid back vibe to it and a ton of style. BMX was definitely different back then and it was awesome. Enjoy!

The latest Snakebite X DIG podcast features the one and only Dave Voelker! This starts out with a little story on his blown out knee to a lot of history and more. If you have an hour and a half to spare, this is definitely one to listen in on!
“One day late in 2015, and after BBQing and riding the legendary Dave Volekers’ backyard ramp in his hometown of San Diego for about an hour, I sat down with him and pressed record for this latest DIG X Snakebite podcast. We discussed the worlds first ever street contest, his Dyno days, coming out of retirement to ride in the X Games, caring more about true soul riding more than competing, and so much more. Dave’s true passion for riding has always seemed shine through since his first legendary video and magazine appearances in the eighties right through to today, and I felt so privileged to share the stories some of those experiences first-hand with Lord Voelker himself!” – Shad Johnson
Oh hell yeah! Snakebite just uploaded Darin Read‘s old section from the “Building The Underground” video that came out back in 2005. This section is packed full of Northwest trails, skatepark and street gold with Darin’s amazing style on everything he came across. This is one of those BMX videos you cannot pass up giving a watch!
“Darin Read pulls in the end section of “Building The Underground” with a part packed with some of the best NW trails and massive transfers on anything concrete! Definitely a must watch from one of the best to ever do it!”

We were pretty sure Snakebite had a few sections left in the “Building The Underground” video to upload, and it looks like we were right. Today they uploaded Adam Perez’s section that’s packed full of grinds, big airs in bowls, heavy drops and more. Get on that play button and take it all in!
“Adam Perez gets sleepless in his Building The Underground part. Adam goes full speed on the streets, trails, & concrete parts all over the NW. All of this on 22″ top tube.”
One reason we really like Snakebite is because of the incredible amount of history knowledge that website drops on the regular. Today, they dropped a new feature taking a look at some of the crazy BMX bars that were released before most of us reading this ever started riding. If you think bars these days look wonky with their 10″+ rises and crazy widths, you haven’t seen anything yet. Head over to the Skatebite website and check this one out — BMX Handlebars Through The Years
Let’s be real… Crashing sucks, but there’s something about it that you just can’t keep you from watching. Snakebite just uploaded the wreck section from the “Building The Underground” video from 2005 online and it’s loaded with crash after crash of pure carnage. One thing we kind of had to laugh about in this is the number of clips that start out with “Yeeeaah!” followed immediately by “Ohhhhhh”. Hit play and take it all in.
“This has some nasty falls going on in this part. White Zombie, Switchblade, getting Mitched, Whatever you want to call em its happening in here.”
