The Shadow Conspiracy have released a new Bike Check with Simone Barraco and his fresh new Subrosa Noster III setup in the satin purple color that just dropped. One thing we did notice is that Simone isn’t running the four piece bars he was testing anymore, which could mean they might not be happening anymore? We’re not sure, but that’s just our guess.

The new Nick Bullen signature grips from Subrosa have arrived. These grips feature a unique rib pattern with circles, DNA inspired lines, and Zodiac symbols on the flanges for an extra touch. These grips are 170mm long (about 20mm longer than most) with a medium circumference and they’re made from the DCR rubber which keeps them soft, but long lasting. Each pair comes with Nylon bar ends to match.
The Genetic grips are available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Subrosa in black and Tiffany blue now!

Man, we’re amazed nobody else has found a way to integrate the ever popular vaping trend into BMX until now. It looks like Subrosa will be releasing their new VAPE Bars with a built-in vape kit for all you vaperz out there. These will definitely add some serious cash to Hoang Tran‘s royalty checks for his signature Villicus line for sure!
WHAT? We’ve seen Subrosa have teamed up with bands in the past for different projects, but this just took it to a whole new level. Here’s a teaser for a collaboration they will be announcing with SLAYER soon! This is bound to kick A LOT of ass. Expect more details as soon as we get ’em!
As they say, all good things must come to an end at some point. After five years and five different versions of Hoang Tran‘s signature Villicus frame from Subrosa, the final version is being released as we type this. The Villicus Infinity, which marks the 5th version of this series that has seen the Villicus, Villicus II, Villicus Prime and Villicus Prime II previously, will be the last in the series. Not to say that Hoang will no longer be apart of the Subrosa team, because he definitely will and will probably end up with a different signature frame at some point. They’re just retiring the long standing Villicus frame. So, with that being said, we figured there’s no better time than now to give you a close up look at the Villicus Infinity. Ready? It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these “The Art Of” pieces, so we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look at one part in particular that we’ve been thinking about lately, the BMX Sprocket. The other day we were bouncing around to a few different brands websites to see if there were any new products or anything else new to see, and we ended up staring at the sprockets. When you think about it, the sprocket is one of those things that can really be altered the most as far as aesthetics go. We’ve seen A LOT of sprockets in BMX’s history, so we decided to stick to sprockets that are currently available. Even with cutting it back to that, there’s still a ton of options available. Add in the different combos between the standard bolt drive, Spline drive, and socket drive, colors, versions with guards, etc. There’s a lot to take in. We bounced around and picked out some of our favorites from a number of brands, which you can check out below with a few words about each! Ready?
We have seen a TON of BMX videos featuring the Subrosa Street Rail being put to good use, but we’re pretty sure this is the first we have seen where they have used the rail as a sub rail on some ramps and not a street rail. Jarek Mus, Zach Lokken and Brodie Gwilliam spent two weeks at the Bad4Life ramp screwing the rail down in different setups to see what they could cook up for clips. They ended up with this RAD video filled with plenty of creative tricks. Hit play and check it all out!
