Mark Burnett Is No Longer Riding For Sunday Bikes

March 20, 2018

Mark Burnett has parted ways with the Sunday Bikes team…

Here’s some surprising news we did NOT see coming! Mark Burnett is no longer riding for Sunday Bikes! It sounds like Mark had a new opportunity come up that he decided to pursue, but ended things on a positive note with Sunday. Above is a quick farewell video Sunday put together and below you can find a few words from Sunday’s Team Manager, Walter Pieringer, and some words from Mark about the news!

–

“Sad news, Mark Burnett is moving on to new opportunities. Mark is one of the most talented and determined riders I’ve met, and it’s been a treat seeing him come into his own over the past five years and establish himself as a true force in modern-day BMX. Mark’s been a big part of Sunday for a long time, and we’re bummed to lose him but excited everyone will still get to watch him be just so ridiculously dialed over at his new spot, which he’ll be telling you about soon. Everybody at Sunday wishes Mark nothing but the best.” – Walter Pieringer, Sunday TM

–

“This hasn’t been an easy decision, but ultimately it was a move I have decided to make. As of today I will no longer be riding for @sundaybikes. This is absolutely not a move of hate, but a move of love. I want to personally thank @thejakeseeley and @walterpieringer as well as everybody else I have shared this experience with. It is the reason why I am who I am, why I’ve seen the things I’ve seen, and why I’ve been able to accomplish the things I have. With that said however, I couldn’t be more excited for the future. Every year is the best year of my life…” – Mark Burnett

–

Any guesses where you think Mark is going? I personally, 100% guessing right now, could see him rolling over to Subrosa since he’s already a part of The Shadow Conspiracy and it seems like they’ve been making some changes to their Pro team as of late, like the addition of Trey Jones, so that’s a possibility. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens!

February 19, 2018

The Full Factory warehouse ramps in California got a remodel and plenty of heavy hitters are catching sessions on the new setup!

The ramp setup was given a little more street friendly build and it looks like everyone who have stopped by to ride it have had no trouble stacking clips on it! Hit play to see what went down during one very productive session.

“Full Factory Distribution houses Odyssey, Gsport, and Sunday, and they recently re-designed their outdoor ramp setup. With a stacked team featuring dudes like Broc Raiford, Ethan Corriere, Alec Siemon, Gary Young, Jared Duncan, and more. This session got poppin’ real quick.

2018 FloriDeah Swampfest Highlights

February 18, 2018

Check out all the madness that went down at the 2018 FloriDeah Swampfest!

Over the weekend, BMX riders from around the world invaded central Florida for a weekend of partying and riding a ton of sketchy ramps, a Subrosa Street rail across a giant mud pit and some real dialed looking trails thanks to Trey Jones and the FloriDeah crew! Check out all the madness in this highlight reel from Ride BMX and then another from the Sunday Bikes and Odyssey crew! Expect to see a ton more from this one soon!

“Not since the UGP Roots Jams have so many BMX riders ascended on central Florida like they did this past weekend for the 2018 Florideah Swamp Fest. Astatula, Florida, was the place to be this weekend, with the promise of lots of fun, plenty of sketchiness on and off the bikes, and an escape from the winter weather. Here’s a highlight video featuring all the action from the ridiculously sketchy and unpredictable ramps to the perfect dirt jumps (courtesy of Ryan Herbach and Cody Diggs), to the 64 foot long Subrosa Swamp Rail, and the massive Scotty Cranmer Best Trick jump. Hats off to Trey Jones and everyone else who helped make this event possible.
