Tall Order BMX – First Big Session with the Team

May 27, 2016

The Tall Order crew have been on it with the Webisodes lately. Here’s a fresh one where most of the crew got together for some skatepark and trails action. If you’re only interested in the riding, scroll forward to the 5 minute mark, that’s when things actually get rolling.

“In this webisode we drove from Hastings to Essex to ride Jack‘s local Skatepark (Canvey Island) . On the way to Essex we had to make an emergency stop on the side of the busy A21 to search for something Jack had dropped out of his window! When we finally made it to Essex we learnt about how Jack nearly DIED riding after throwing up blood after a massive crash!
We then headed to Cambridge to stay with Matt Priest and ride for the first time with the ‘tall order’ team Matt Harris, Kaz Campbell and David Gilchrist. We rode Stansted skatepark where Jack and Matt shredded!! Oli got loose and landed smooth on everything! Matt Priest rode Jack’s Segway all day then we headed to Abbey trails to see the boys shred their local spot in-between revision for their GCSE exams. David finished the day off with a massive gap to wall ride at the trails that nobody had ever tried before!

Tall Order – Matt Harris Video

May 24, 2016

Tall Order might be just getting off the ground, but it’s safe to say Bas Keep has done a good job of recruiting riders that know how to make riding look good. Here’s a new video from their connect in the U.K, Matt Harris, who throws down at a bunch of different skateparks and some trails. This is filled with stretch no handers, tables and style for miles. If you’re looking for crazy tailwhip and barspin combos, this isn’t for you.

Tall Order BMX – Starting A New BMX Company: Posters & Riding Skateparks

May 20, 2016

These videos that Bas Keep has been pumping out giving us a little behind the scenes look at him starting Tall Order BMX. This time around we get a look at some of the posters he’s having cooked up, along with a bunch of riding footage from two super fun looking parks. Hit play and enjoy!

“With magazines dropping off in the U.K (apart from the rad Endless Mag) we visited a high tech printing factory to have posters made to send to bike shops and to send out with clothing orders. I think we ordered way too many posters but oh well. In this webisode we also ride skateparks in the south of England and Jack Clark destroys it!”

Tall Order BMX – Visiting Manufacturers In Taiwan

May 11, 2016

A few weeks back, Sebastian Keep decided to announce that he was going off on his own and starting a BMX brand of his own called Tall Order. Today, Sebastian dropped a little webisode giving you a look at his trip to Taiwan to tour the factories making the product. This gives you a look at some of the first pieces like bars and frames that are being made, a little look into some hubs, and you even get to see how they make rims. This is well worth checking out!

“I flew 6000 miles across the world to Taiwan to explore the factories where BMX parts are made. It was a crazy eye opening experience getting to see how many people and how much work is involved in getting even the smallest bike parts ready to be ridden. Taiwan is an amazing culturally rich country that at times felt like i was on another planet and I loved every minute of it. Big thanks to King” – Sebastian Keep

Sebastian Keep Launches Tall Order BMX Brand

April 20, 2016

Here’s some news we didn’t see coming. Sebastian Keep has launched a new BMX brand called Tall Order that is just getting the wheels turning. Based off the press release, it looks like the brand will be geared toward transitions and ramp riding over the street riding trend we’ve seen a number of brands follow. There’s currently two frames listed on the website that will become available in November, and Sebastian has recruited Corey Bohan, Jack Clark, Oliver Jones, David Gilchrist, Matt Peter, Kaz Campbell and Kieren Riley to the team. This is just the start, so we’ll be expecting to see plenty more here soon. You can check out the full website here — TallOrderBMX.com

For some of you who are wondering, this does mean that Bas is no longer riding for Cult, which he is no longer listed on their website.

“I have spent the majority of my life travelling the world riding my bike and making friends along the way. I’ve been very lucky to have had a long career as a pro rider and here I am following my instincts and launching my own company.

We have seen riding naturally evolve with street becoming the predominant style of freestyle BMX, but for me although I enjoy riding street and using my pegs I have always had a bigger passion for riding transitions. Whether it’s indoors, outdoors, wood, dirt, cement or brick the feeling of trying to go faster, higher and land smoother has always been my thing… you like what you like I guess. For this reason tall order frames and parts will be designed and engineered specifically to be ridden at the highest level on transitions of all types and sizes.

I feel it’s important to support all elements of the bmx ecosystem so the plan is to sell tall order through a network of distributors and shops around the world as well as selling clothing and smaller items direct on my website.” – Sebastian Keep
