There’s no denying that Dean Dickinson loves pools more than pretty much every rider, so it wasn’t a complete surprise that he had another pool party to celebrate his birthday! Here’s a look at what went down at this years pool party that had a few Pros, legends, weekend warriors and more turn out for the session. This spot looks super fun and it’s safe to say everyone had a good time! Take a peek!

“On January 7th, 2017 TEAM SHRALP powered through an EPIC snowstorm and hosted Dean Dickinson’s birthday bash as DEAN’S DIRTY 31 POOL PARTY. INVITE ONLY pool party session at Dave Tobin’s private indoor concrete bowl. Featuring 31 of the best Pacific Northwest pool shredders! To celebrate his 30th birthday, and to benefit the Burnside Skatepark, Dean Dickinson threw a little private party to ride a private indoor pool with a few familiar faces like Dirt Ron, Brian Blyther and Ron Wilkerson. Above is a highlight video from the jam! Looks like a good time to us!

“On January 9th, 2016 TEAM SHRALP hosted Dean Dickinson’s birthday as DEAN’S DIRTY 30: A Benefit for The Burnside Skatepark. 30 different riders and artists came together to raise money for the world famous Burnside Skatepark.
The day started off with an exclusive INVITE ONLY pre-party pool session at Phil Tedder’s private indoor concrete bowl. Riders battled it out for high air, best trick, and the “Shred Boner Award.” Featuring: Ron Wilkerson, Dirt Ron, Ratty Maty, Dean Dickinson, Jake Ortiz, Mark Rainha, Andy Merrall, Brian Blyther, & more! After party festivities included a pool skate/bmx art themed show and live music at Kelly’s Olympian in Portland, OR. Artists displayed and auctioned off their pieces in benefit of the Burnside Skatepark.

If you’re around Portland, Oregon at the start of the year, the Team Shralp crew are throwing a benefit to help raise funds to continue the growth of the public skateparks in the area! They’re showing Pee Wee’s Big Adventure and it sounds like it should be a damn good time! More info below!

“TEAM SHRALP is proud to present a Portland Skatepark Benefit Showing of Tim Burton’s bicycle comedy classic, Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure. The Portland BMX/Skate Community has been advocating for a master plan of 19 public skateparks for over 10yrs. 6 parks down and 13 to go. Come join us as we make Portland the SKATEPARK CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!!!

This benefit screening takes place on Friday January 2nd 7:30pm at Velo Cult (1969 NE 42nd Ave Portland, OR 97213). Raffle, Prizes, Drinks, & more! All ages event with a $8 suggested donation at the door. Also featuring BMX shorts provided by: Bone Deth, Goods BMX, Boicott, and more!

Team Shralp – Zane Levitt R.I.P

Man… It always sucks when BMX loses a rider. This is a video Dean Dickinson put together as a tribute to Zane Levitt who passed away last month. This gives us a little insight into his riding along with a slide show of photos. I never knew the guy, but he sounds like he was an amazing person. Rest in Peace, Zane!

“TEAM SHRALP presents “Zane Levitt R.I.P.” On February 13th 2014 the world lost a wonderful person… Zane was a loyal friend, BMXer, skater, ramp builder, carpenter, and all around good dude. This video mostly features footage shot during the making of “Take It Or Leave It” back in 2006/07. The footage and photos featured in this project only show a SMALL percentage of Zane’s amazing personality. We miss you so much, Zane Levitt R.I.P.

Although this video is a few years old now, it’s a reaaaaally good history lesson on Burnside skatepark in Portland. Definitely hit the play button to see all sorts of wild things that have gone down at this iconic place!

“TEAM SHRALP presents “BMX At Burnside.” In 2010 this segment originally premiered on ESPN’s Action Sports Web Page. Portland locals such as: Shad Johnson, Bruce Crisman, John Bristol, and Rich Hirsch walk you through the roots of BMX at the world famous Burnside Skatepark. Also featuring: Taj Mihelich, Daniel Randall, Andy Merral, Mike Escamilla, Adam Perez, Chester Blacksmith, Justin Inman, Snotty, and Ben Hucke. “BMX At Burnside” was also included into the 2010 Bicycle Film Festival program and shown all over the world.
