The Shadow Conspiracy – Serpent Tire
Thinking about picking up some new BMX Tires? Here’s a look at the new Serpent Tire that The Shadow Conspiracy just released for the riders looking for a lighter weight tire for ramp riding. The tire features a high thread count casing that allows for less rubber material, which helps reduce the weight. It has a custom engineered low profile, directional tread pattern with micro-knurling that’ll give you plenty of grip with low rolling resistance. The tire even squeeks for those of you who look for that feature in a tire.
The Serpent Tire is available in two versions; Kevlar Folding Bead and a Traditional Steel Bead version.
The Kevlar Bead comes in a 2.30″ size with a 110 PSI rating and a 14.6 oz. weight. You can find it in Black and Polar Pop Blue for $51.99 through The Shadow Conspiracy dealers worldwide now, or direct from the Shadow Conspiracy Webstore.
The Steel Bead version comes in a 2.30″ size with a 110 PSI rating and a 18.9 oz. weight. You can find it in Black and Polar Pop Blue for $35.99 through The Shadow Conspiracy dealers worldwide or direct from The Shadow Conspiracy Webstore!

Shadow X Subrosa – Artem Agarkov 2019 Video
The Shadow Conspiracy and Subrosa‘s connect over in Russia, Artem Agarkov coming through with a fresh video packed with dialed riding. Artem lays down some heavy drops, cooked up some wild grind combos and brought plenty of nose balance with this one. Check it! You won’t be disappointed.
“You’ve probably seen Artem climbing the ranks at big contests like Simple Session and others around Europe. What you might not know is not only does he kill it in park, but he loves street riding too!
In his latest edit he hits the streets of Russia and found some amazing spots. Artem unleashed his smooth, very technical side of riding and mixed in some serious hammers.
Thanks to Artem, Hellride Distribution, and Linkov Media for the video.”
Kevin Kalkoff On Federal Bikes
Here’s some news we didn’t see coming. It looks like Kevin Kalkoff has decided to part ways with Subrosa and The Shadow Conspiracy and is now riding for Federal Bikes! No word on what sprung the decision, but Kevin mentioned on Instagram that he’s happy to be riding for Federal, so that’s good. We will be interested to see if Kevin will be able to start filming for the new “FTS” video the Federal team have been working on for a little over a year or so now, in time to get something together for the final video. Either way, Kevin shreds so we’re excited to see what this new opportunity brings for him.
Sneak Peek: The Shadow Conspiracy – Matt Ray Signature VVS Stem
Here’s a little sneak peek The Shadow Conspiracy released giving you a closer look at the new Matt Ray signature VVS Stem that will be dropping in Marh! Not much for details on this front load stem, but based on the photo it looks like it appears to be cast with some additional machining with the Shadow crow logo on the front plate, a BBS logo up top, a recessed top for a flush fork cap and a rounded back for the knees. This is also a sneak peek look at what appears to be a new Copper color that they will be releasing as well.
We’ll keep you posted once we get the full specs, details and more when it drops in March!
Sneak Peek: The Shadow Conspiracy Plasmatic Peg
Here’s a little something we spotted while scrolling through Instagram today. It looks like The Shadow Conspiracy have been working on a new peg called the Plasmatic Peg. They didn’t release any details beyond the photo, but it appears to have a plastic sleeve, which we would have to imagine has a special nylon / fibreglass compound, with something unique going on with the internals. If you check the Instagram post below, you can see their Multi-Tool, but it’s hard to see if there is an extension. The reason we say that is because in the photo above it appears that there is some sort of insert inside of the peg with a square that could fit a 3/8″ wrench similar to how a couple fork compression caps come. We also noticed an adaptor at the dropout in the multi-tool photo. Maybe a possible thread on style peg like back in the day, but there would just need to be a way to prevent it from threading loose. A lot to think about from two photos and no details, haha.
We’ll be bugging the guys over at Shadow to find out what’s going on here, and we would imagine there will be more details soon. Either way, it caught our attention…
