“More Than A Job” Twenty Years of Unit 23

There’s another one celebrating 20 years! Unit 23 Skatepark in Scotland!

There has been a few 20th anniversary celebrations to kick the year off from Gary Young’s 20 Years on Odyssey to the 20 Years of Catty Woods. The crew at Unit 23 Skatepark are also celebrating 20 years of riding and good times! Here’s a video BSD produced telling the story of the park from how it all came about on up to what the place looks like today!

“Unit 23 is a mecca for BMX and has played an important part in the history of BSD.

Over the last twenty years the park has seen a lot, far too much to cover in a mini documentary, and with some antics that best never see the light of day anyway! To mark the occasion we wanted to look back on some of the key moments in the park’s history.

Fresh off finishing his recent ‘Unit Life’ BSD video, we spoke to Chaz Mailey to talk about the last year of filming while also reminiscing about the last twenty years at one of the world’s most iconic indoor skateparks…

Chaz Mailey celebrates Unit 23’s milestone with a new BSD video!

It’s not too often that a park survives 20 years, but Unit 23 Skatepark over in Scotland has done it. To celebrate, Chaz Mailey went to work stacking clips over the past year at the park for this new BSD. As expected, it ended up being an absolute banger. So, get on that play button because this is way too good to miss!

“20 years ago Unit23 opened its doors for the first time, to celebrate this incredible milestone we’ve spent the last 12 months filming with Chaz Mailey for a new video part in the park he helped build and grew up in. BSD – Return of the Jam: Unit 23 – Part 2

BSD dropped part 2 of their Return of the Jam at Unit 23 video!

Last week BSD released part 1 from their Return of the Jam: Unit 23 Skatepark video with highlights from the park / bowl jam. Now, BSD have released their 2nd video with highlights from the street contest. Hit play for just under 7 minutes of wild riding and good times!

BSD have brought back their jam at Unit 23!

Just in time to celebrate a big milestone for Unit 23 Skatepark over in the U.K, BSD have brought back their annual jam to celebrate. “This past Saturday saw a whole squadron of unidentified flying objects circling Unit 23 Skatepark in Scotland attempting to park up for the Substance Jam. Needless to say, a massive list of earthlings showed up to hold it down for the home planet, including Alex Donnachie, Dan Banks, Sean McGilly, Guy Scroggie, and way more. What a great day!
