Vans Dennis Enarson Old Skool Pro BMX Colorway

It’s always funny when you think about something, and then it happens shortly after. Just the other day we were thinking that it was surprising that Dennis Enarson hasn’t had a signature colorway from Vans yet, then today news that his signature Old Skool Pro BMX colorway is dropping this month arrives! For Dennis’ colorway, he went with this rad olive with gum and white accents, with added graphics by Thomas Hooper on the heel and the footbed that adds that extra pop to make it Dennis’ own. Check out photos and more details about the shoe below!

Vans Slip-On Pro

Due for some new shoes, but you aren’t feeling laces lately? Vans have given their popular Slip-On style shoe the bump up to the Pro team. The Slip-On Pro takes the classic style of the shoe and gives it the upgraded sole and some extra tweaks like the DURACAP reinforcement and Pro Vul Lite Constructon that allow these shoes to stand up to all the wear and tear from a session on your bike. Not only that, but the Vans Slip-On Pro is available in 9 different color combos from the Periscope / Drizzle color seen here, to the classics like All Black, Checkerboard, Red and more.

Vans got Angie Marino laced up with some fresh Vans Sk8-Hi Pro BMX shoes, so she got them dialed in and went for a cruise around her neighborhood! This is just a quick look at the shoes, so if you’re digging them, you can learn more here — Vans Sk8-Hi Pro BMX — or by visiting the Vans website! Vans “Foot The Bill” – BMX Support!

April 25, 2020

Vans Foot The Bill The Wheel Mill

This is pretty rad! We’ve seen a bunch of different ways popping up to help support local businesses during the shutdown caused by COVID-19, and it really does help. Vans announced their new “Foot The Bill” collaboration program that gives shops, indoor parks and more the chance to design their own shoe that Vans can produce and sell with proceeds going directly to the business that you choose to support. So far it’s pretty much mostly skate related, but there are two BMX options that you can choose to support so far; The Wheel Mill and Kings Ride Shop! The shoes are designed on the classic Vans Slip-On with their own custom design. Up top you can check out The Wheel Mill’s logo, and down below is the Kings Ride Shop design! These are available on the Vans website now for $90 each. Sure, it’s a little pricier, but proceeds go directly to The Wheel Mill or Kings Ride Shop if you pick a pair up! Hopefully we see a few more BMX shops or parks pop up here soon! Either way, you can check out the full list of shops, parks, restaurants and music venues they have designs for right here!

Vans Foot The Bill Kings Ride Shop

“Dear Vans Family,
We know how important small businesses are: We were one. You helped us become what we are, and we want to help our community and extended members of our Vans Family during this difficult time. We have partnered with local and community-driven skate shops, restaurants, art galleries and music venues to support them with custom-designed Vans footwear. Net proceeds* from the sale of each pair of these very special Vans Customs will go directly to our small business partners in this time of need. With the purpose of continuing to enable creative expression, please join us as we lend a helping hand to our Vans Family.

Keep Going,
Steve Van Doren

*All proceeds less the costs of production and shipment will be paid to the local and community driven skate shops, restaurants, art galleries and music venues” – Vans

Behind The Scenes of Vans “Homestead”

April 25, 2020

When you’re watching a BMX video, it’s easy to forget how much time and work went into making the video. The other day the Vans “Homestead” video dropped and it was a banger featuring Dennis Enarson, Corey Walsh and Jason Watts that was filmed and edited by Christian Rigal in Dennis’ new and improved backyard ramp setup. The video is an absolute banger that is just shy of 4 minutes long. What you don’t see is all the time that went into rebuilding the ramp and the multiple nights of filming, all the lighting and camera gear, and more. Here’s a raw cut giving us a little behind the scenes look at one of the nights of filming and just what was going down! Check out the full video down below if you missed it or want another look!

“Dennis Enarson’s private ramps have been done for a good while, but he’s kept them under wraps in anticipation of “Homestead.” I went out on the final night of filming and captured the vibe of the filming session. Enjoy!” – Our BMX

Vans BMX Pro Cup 2020 – CANCELLED

April 23, 2020

Vans BMX Pro Cup 2020 Cancelled
Photo: Colin Mackay

Here’s some news we saw coming, but definitely hoped wouldn’t happen. Due to the uncertainty of the coming months due to the COVID-19, Vans have decided to cancel the 2020 Vans BMX Pro Cup series for safety reasons and obvious travel / logistics nightmares that would be caused by everything going on. Check out a note that came through. We’ll update this tomorrow as a full press release is supposed to be coming.

“Dear VANS PRO CUP friends,
Hope you are staying healthy and safe during this time of uncertainty.
As we’ve all come to witness, we are currently facing an unprecedented global crisis that has impacted the way we live, work and interact as a global community. It has caused global disruptions and changes to the way businesses operate beyond what could have been imagined. In light of the COVID-19 situation, our brand has been taking a series of precautionary steps to ensure that the health and wellbeing of our Vans Family and the global community remains our top priority. This has involved postponing or canceling upcoming owned events globally through to closing our corporate offices and Vans retail locations across North America, Europe and select locations in Asia Pacific.

As a global brand focused on connecting with our consumers around the world through experiences and spaces that bring their creativity to life, Vans will always prioritize the health and wellbeing of our consumers and staff.

With that said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Vans BMX Pro Cup Series season.

This was not an easy decision, but one we feel is necessary in the current state of uncertainty.

Sincerely, Andrew Mapstone, Andy Zeiss, Colin Mackay, & VANS Family” – Vans

Vans “Homestead”

April 22, 2020

With everything shutting down, the people who happen to have a ramp setup to ride are definitely stoked. It looks like Dennis Enarson got lucky and completely revamped his backyard ramp setup before the shut down with the help of Corey Walsh and Jason Watts. Here’s a fresh video from Vans showing these guys absolutely CRUSHING IT on the new setup! It’s safe to say this setup turned out perfect.

“Prior to the start of social distancing roomies Dennis Enarson, Corey Walsh and Jason Watts set out to build the ultimate backyard ramp. When the sun went down so did the heavy riding…
