Vans “Foot The Bill” – BMX Support!

This is pretty rad! We’ve seen a bunch of different ways popping up to help support local businesses during the shutdown caused by COVID-19, and it really does help. Vans announced their new “Foot The Bill” collaboration program that gives shops, indoor parks and more the chance to design their own shoe that Vans can produce and sell with proceeds going directly to the business that you choose to support. So far it’s pretty much mostly skate related, but there are two BMX options that you can choose to support so far; The Wheel Mill and Kings Ride Shop! The shoes are designed on the classic Vans Slip-On with their own custom design. Up top you can check out The Wheel Mill’s logo, and down below is the Kings Ride Shop design! These are available on the Vans website now for $90 each. Sure, it’s a little pricier, but proceeds go directly to The Wheel Mill or Kings Ride Shop if you pick a pair up! Hopefully we see a few more BMX shops or parks pop up here soon! Either way, you can check out the full list of shops, parks, restaurants and music venues they have designs for right here!

Vans have been crushing it with the BMX specific shoes ever since they released the BMX specific sole that has been really popular. Not only have they done a handful of signature models, but they just released the Sk8-Hi Pro BMX shoe that takes their popular high top shoe and made it even better with the BMX sole that was designed with pedals in mind.

Vans Off The Wall Live with Dakota Roche

With everyone being stuck indoors, the crew at Vans decided to get Dakota Roche to go live on their Youtube channel to give a little look into his home, along with a little cooking lesson! This doesn’t have any riding in it, but it’s a good look at what Dak’s like off his bike. There’s also a live chat he did with Sean Ricany. Although this down time sucks, it is nice that there’s technology to keep us together. Take a look!

Here’s some news that we’re sure a bunch of people will be stoked on! Vans have released their latest Old Skool Pro Colorway! This time around they’ve teamed up with Larry Edgar on a shoe, snapback hat and long sleeve shirt in a Black and Yellow color combo with some unique artwork that fit Larry’s style well! The shoe utilizes the Old Skool Pro BMX model that we’ve seen for Kevin Peraza, Matthias Dandois and Ty Morrow so far, with Larry’s own personal touch on the insole and the midsole of the shoe. The Old Skool Pro also features it’s unique sole that mixes the classic Waffle pattern with a mix of a few other patterns and a harder rubber to give you plenty of grip on the pedals and resist the wear and tear! Vans coming through with another round of Shimmer & Haze giving us a behind the scenes look from the “Shimmer” video that dropped last year. This time around we get a bunch of Ty Morrow footage from b-roll scraps, second angles, crashes and more! This is a mix of crashes, random footage and some clips that didn’t make the cut with nearly 9 minutes of footage. Needless to say, it’s well worth a look!
