Sneak Peek: Wethepeople – 18″ Envy
Photo: Freedom BMX
Here’s a sneak peek we spotted floating around on Facebook this morning courtesy of our good friend Dave Paterson. Here is a sneak preview of the 18″ Envy frame and fork that Wethepeople have been working on for their 2016 line. No details as far as specs go, but it sounds like it’s just a scaled down version of the 20″ Envy frame, so the top tube, seat tube and chain stays will be shorter, but we would imagine it will be the same geometry wise. The fork should also feature the same features, just shorter legs to accommodate the 18″ wheels. Expect more details closer to its release!
It’s good to see so many brands putting focus on 16″ and 18″ complete bikes and aftermarket frames and parts. There are more and more kids getting into BMX at an earlier age and it’s been incredible watching the level of progress that has come with the proper bikes for the job. We’re sure this is just a taste of what we will be seeing in the 18″ department this year.
Check out more BMX Frames.
Wethepeople – #GetInTheVanTour: Part 2
Part two of Wethepeople‘s #GetInTheVanTour in Germany is now online! This BMX video gives you some insight from the parks and shops they hit up on the 2nd leg of the tour! Plenty of real dialed riding mixed throughout out this! Did you catch Part 1? Watch #GetInTheVanTour Part 1 here!
“Wethepeople #GETINTHEVANTOUR continues with Dillon Lloyd, Ed Zunda, Pete Sawyer, Moritz Nussbaumer and Dima Pyrkhodko hitting up parks, shops, and street spots in Stuttgart and Frankfurt. Shop Stops are all about the chillin’ with kids and the shredding with the locals and the crew delivered on that—stoking out a lot of kids along the way.” – Ride BMX
Wethepeople – #GetInTheVanTour – Part 1
Wethepeople have released part one of their #GetInTheVanTour in Germany! This video features some of the riding they got into during the trip, along with some perspective from the guys and a look at what they got into at some of the shops and what they were doing when they weren’t riding. Take a peek!
“Tricks are only a small portion of a trip…the laughs, the bullshit, the drinks, the food, and the simple act of pedaling down the street are what you go on a trip for. Wethepeople packed the squad in the van and cruised all around Germany…
“BMX tours can be physically draining; you have to be ready to ride all day then party all night and just repeat for 7-10 days straight, so lasting till the end in one piece is a truly celebratory moment. We decided to stretch ourselves over 7 days with 6 shops visits and over 3,000 Kilometers of driving in between. I can still remember the moment of relief when we pulled back into Koln after visiting Bremen, Hannover, Berlin, Stuttgart and Frankfurt. We were all dead.
Dillon Lloyd, Ed Zunda, Pete Sawyer, Moritz Nussbaumer and Dima Pyrkhodko all battled it out for a week in the van and helped make the bad times good and the good times better. Thanks to all the shops (Alliance, Bikers Base, Flair BMX, Kunstform, Deepend and the Peoples Store) you guys were amazing and helped us feel at home. Special thanks to Sport Import.
Enjoy Part 1, Part 2 will air Wednesday 13th August.
Filmed and edited by Ben Mcpherson.””
Wethepeople – #GetInTheVanTour Trailer
Wethepeople have released a trailer for their #GetInTheVanTour Germany BMX video that will be released online Monday, August 10th! Based off the trailer, it looks like they did a hell of a lot of drinking, so hopefully that didn’t keep them from riding, haha. With a crew like this though, we have no doubts that it will be a dialed video filled with awesome riding.
Wethepeople – Fundamentals: Felix Prangenberg
Curious what Felix Prangenberg is riding these days? The guys over at Wethepeople caught up with Felix to find out more about his current Patron setup that he’s running and why he chose that versus other frames in the Wethepeople line up! You get some good insight along with a handful of photos giving you a closer look at his bike. You can check that out over on the Wethepeople website — Fundamentals: Felix Prangenberg
