“With the exception of a few vert riders, most of the mid-school BMX professionals from the 1990s and early 2000s have moved on from X Games competition. Not Ryan Nyquist though. Ryan started competing at X Games in 1997 and still gets invited. He’s not getting invites based on legacy either; he’s still progressing his skills on BMX Dirt and Park at a remarkable pace.
