X Games 2021 In Pat Casey’s Backyard and CA Training Facility

June 30, 2021

X Games Pat Casey Dream yard

The X Games are back after cancelling last year due to COVID, and they’ve decided to mix things up. Normally the X Games have been held at large venues in different cities around the U.S and globally, open for everyone to come check out in person. However, this year they’ve decided to go with closed events that are split up at three different spots with it being the invited riders only due to COVID restrictions and safety.

For BMX, they will be holding the Park and Dirt contests in Pat Casey‘s Back yard, A.K.A The Dream Yard , and BMX street at the CA Training Facility. This will be putting riders on actual ramps and setups they normally ride versus the crazy parks and made for TV setups that usually get thrown their way, which is something we always thought would be really cool to see.

There will be BMX Street, BMX Park, BMX Park Dave Mirra Best Trick, BMX Dirt and BMX Dirt Best Trick contests with a few riders getting mixed in and out for the Best Trick contests that won’t ride in the regular contest, which is also interesting. Either way, July 14th – 18th will be when it all goes down. Check out the full press release below, along with the full invited rider lists below!

X Games – The Best of Chad Kerley

October 29, 2020

The X Games dug into their archives of footage and compiled 22 minutes of Chad Kerley‘s best runs from different X Games contests from Los Angeles to Austin, Minneapolis and Shanghai. This spans the course of 7 years, which is pretty wild to think about how fast time flies! This has a ton of great riding worth checking out, and it’s pretty cool to see how much Chad has progressed over the years. That and a look at all the different street courses over that time as well!

“It’s hard to believe, but BMX rider #ChadKerley has been competing at X Games since 2012. And in that time, Chad has amassed 6 medals in BMX Street, including one silver from #RealBMX in 2017. But the medal count isn’t what’s important here: Chad’s progression is what we wanted to look at. From 2012 to the present, Chad has steadily switched it up, from cassette to freecoaster, from hang 5 combos to unreal nose wheelies. And we’re been lucky to watch it all happen. Assembled here are highlights from Chad’s #XGames career, including gold medal wins and international previews from Shanghai 2019. Thanks for consistently bringing it Chad!” – X Games
