Here’s a slightly different look on the X-Games courtesy of Miles Rogoish and his VX.

In case you missed out on watching street at X Games Los Angeles, this video highlights each invited rider from start to finish. Footage includes riding Stevie Churchill, Simone Barraco, Alex Kennedy, Jeremiah Smith, Sean Sexton, Rob Wise, Bruno Hoffmann, Dakota Roche, Chad Kerley and five-time X Games gold medalist Garrett Reynolds. There are minimal fist bumps, and maximum toothpick hangovers to 180 in this video.” – ESPN

2012 marks the sixth year in a row that I have shot the X Games in downtown Los Angeles. It is crazy to think of all of the wild stuff that I have seen go down first hand since 2007 and I feel very fortunate to have witnessed a ton of BMX history occur right before my eyes. The only bad thing is that when it comes time to shoot X Games it’s always pretty stressful between the long days, crazy security guards and constant challenge of trying to capture everything that happens between the four events. I took somewhat of a different approach to the way I shot at X Games this year and really just tried to take in the contest for what it was worth, enjoy the show and get some behind the scenes shots along the way. BMX X-Games

The X Games have been in Los Angeles since 2003 and with good reason. It’s a great city to host a contest of that size and you can pretty much count on perfect weather every single year. I don’t think it has ever rained at the X Games since I have been shooting them.

X-Games 2012 Mega Ramp

Well, X-Games has come and went and here’s the final bit from this year, the Mega Ramp. It sounds like there was some issues with judging and Zack Warden got screwed pretty hard, but at least he walked away with a silver medal. You can check out photos from the event on the Ride BMX website.

Head over to the ESPN site to check out the shit some of your favorite pros say at the X-Games. There’s definitely some name drops and inside type stuff that I’m sure some of you won’t get, but it’s still hilarious. Kachinsky’s RDS line had me cracking up.

X-Games 2012 – Park and Vert Finals

Well, X-Games park and vert went down yesterday and it was a mix of expected and unexpected results. Daniel Dhers went down HARD in qualifiers leaving him out of the race to defend his gold medal that he got last year, leaving Scotty Cranmer the opportunity to take it home this year. As you can imagine, Jamie Bestwick continued his reign as the vert kind for his 6th straight gold medal! Holy… hell.
