Dave Mavro has more classic footage from a HEAVY session that Dave Mirra, Jamie Bestwick, Chad Kagy and Kevin Robinson and more got in at Woodward on the Cloud 9 vert ramp 21 YEARS AGO. You already know when a deck is stacked with that many heavy hitters, even a laid back session gets extra crazy with everyone pushing each other. Here’s just shy of 10 minutes of riding that, even after all these years, is still amazing. Take a look!
“Here’s that time in 2005, when Gravity Games was held in Pennsylvania, with Woodward East being the stage for the BMX and Skate vert disciplines. This brought together the usual suspects of the top BMX vert riders. But it was the first time Dave Mirra was in the same house (Cloud Nine) as the top vert riding residents of Woodward East: Kagy, Bestwick, and Kevin Robinson.
I was fortunate enough to still be at camp when this fell into place.
So here it is, in continuity, as I captured it that afternoon.
Enjoy:)
I’ll be posting the ensuing vert comp soon, which went down the next day.” – Dave Mavro
