Kareem Williams gives you a look at the Screwston Jam!
It’s that time again or Kareem Williams to get his hands on a microphone and a camera to film another round of Kareem’s World. This time around he gives us a look at what went down during the Screwston BMX Jam in Houston, Texas. The ramps were sketchy and Kareem was on fire with the commentary as always. Plenty of laughs in this one. Check out what went down!
Check out how Red Bull made the Mirror Park video featuring Courage Adams and Paul Tholen!
Last week Red Bull released that CRAZY Mirror Park video featuring Courage Adams and Paul Tholen riding a crazy park covered in mirrors and reflective material. If you saw the video, you were probably wondering how they made the video and how it all came together. Now, we get a look at how the project came together. What might surprise you, is that this took SIX MONTHS to figure out and make happen. The end result was absolutely amazing. Check it!
“Six months of planning, design and then execution: Mirror Park was filmed over just two days in a facility near Pamplona in Spain.

The project was made possible with the help of a number of partners. BAAM, a company specialised in ramp manufacturing, put in the initial ground work. Spanish-based brand management firm Lateral Thinking took care of the artistic direction of the project, and co-produced the entire project with Malgenio Films.
For some of the filming a Segway was used. This bit of solo transport was particularly good for capturing transition runs of the video’s stars, Courage Adams and Paul Thölen.
There was some post-production work needed, with a mirrored roof having to be created. Bearing in mind that the mirrors gathered all the info of what was happening during filming, things like cameras, spotlight lighting and people had to be removed from the mirror’s reflections in order to get a clean clip.” – Red Bull

Dustyn Alt doesn’t let snow keep him from riding…
The past few months have been rough for everyone in the Northern hemisphere that have been dealing with the cold, wet, winter weather. For many, it means being stuck indoors if you want to ride, or dealing with it and riding outside. Dustyn Alt didn’t let the snow stop him, and this really well made video shows that. We already knew riding flatland was difficult, but riding with snow, ice and freezing cold hands? That’s a whole different level. It looks like Dustyn was still able to get it done. Check it!

Want to learn how to jump a spine on a BMX bike? Here’s a video where Brant Moore shows you how to get it done!
When you’re just starting out riding BMX, or just riding ramps in general, learning how to jump a spine is pretty tricky. It’s not necessarily super hard, but it is a little bit of a mental hurdle to get past. Here’s a video where Brant, and two others that showed up at the park, gives you a bunch of tips and examples on how to jump a spine on a BMX bike. Hit play, take it all in, grab your bike and send it over the nearest spine ramp you can find!

Chances are there is a pre fab skatepark with a smaller spine close by to most people starting out and while it might look extremely scary, a small spine is one of the easiest scary obstacles to tackle.

Get a look at what went down at the annual ACT Jam down in Australia!

The footage from this years ACT Jam down in Australia is starting to roll in. This annual even put on by the guys at Back Bone BMX is 3 days of amazing riding and good times at different parks and trails. This video that Murli Dhir put together is filled with 10 minutes of footage from the Pros to the locals, along with a good look at just how many people turn out to this event during the first two days of parks. “This was the first ever ACT Jam I’ve been to. I decided to make a video because I figured this is one of the biggest things in Australian BMX. I’ve never made something like this but I’m pretty stoked on all of it. The weekend was incredible and I don’t think the video does it justice. I missed out on someone doing a 900 air (I think it was a guy called Mini) but yeah that happened. I also didn’t get to film the Dirt jumps on the last day but this is what I managed to produce.
