Madera BMX – Dylan McCauley Welcome to the Pro Team

February 2, 2018

Dylan McCauley has been given the well deserved bump on up to the Madera Pro team!

Here’s some news we have been waiting to see for quite a while now. Madera has given Dylan McCauley a bump on up to their PRO TEAM after riding for the Flow / AM team for a few years. Dylan has been crushing it for quite some time and no stranger to putting his pegs to heavy use out on the streets, progressing and pushing himself every day. We have had the chance to spend some time with Dylan in the past and the dude is just as solid off the bike as he is on the bike. Those combinations make him a perfect fit for the team. Check out the welcome video above to bring the news!

“Dylan has been a part of the Madera family for quite a few years now. His riding has been developing and progressing since day one and it has been pretty obvious for quite some time that he was gonna be an important part of our crew for years to come. Dylan never stops riding, never stops smiling, and never ceases to amaze us and we are super proud to welcome him to the Madera Pro Team!

Take a look at the edit he just put together for this and pay really close attention. Dylan is NOT goofy-footed, so good luck figuring out when he is doing something oppo or even switch footed!

Profile Racing – Tech Tip: What’s Inside a Z-Coaster

February 2, 2018

Have you ever wondered what’s inside one of those Profile Racing Z-Coaster hubs?

Profile Racing Z Coaster

If you have been thinking about picking up a new freecoaster hub and you’re looking at the the Z-Coaster hub from Profile Racing, but you are curious about what’s inside and makes the hub tick, here’s your answer. This weeks Tech Tip from Profile gives you a look at all of the parts inside the hubs from the proprietary Z-Coaster driver that allows you to run the hub as a freecoaster or a traditional cassette to the 14mm nuts that hold it in place. You can check out all the parts and a full diagram that breaks down each of the parts for your understanding. You can check it all out on the PROFILE RACING WEBSITE HERE.

This hub is fairly complex and there are a number of little parts, but from the reviews we have been hearing, there isn’t a ton of maintenance involved and there’s not much of a reason to be opening up the hub anyway! Pretty interesting!

Anyone run the Z-Coaster hub? How do you like it? Any pros and cons you can tell us about? Let us know in the comments below!

Jordan Grandinetti is back and crushing it for GT BMX!

After some downtime while joining the knee club, Jordan Grandinetti is back to crushing it on his bike for GT Bicycles! Here’s his first full edit back filled with rail and ledge destruction on a ton of different spots. Although he had some time off, it doesn’t look like he lost his touch one bit.

“After a brief hiatus due to knee surgery, Jordan Grandinetti has been steadily stacking footage. With a few solid clips in the GT Bikes full-length, Seriously Fun movie, Jordy G is back to his old form and has blessed us with a part full of bangers. Simple Session 2018 – First Practice Highlights

February 2, 2018

Let the floodgates of Simple Session 2018 footage commence…

It’s that time of the year again when a bunch of riders commence on Tallinn, Estonia for the annual Simple Session contest! As expected, there are plenty of cameras on the course, so all the action will be highly documented! Here’s a look at not one, not two, but THREE highlight videos from the first day of practice for your viewing pleasure. As expected, plenty of real solid riding going down, a bunch of slams and plenty of laughs. Oh, and a little bit of hockey for good measure…

“Sorry ya’ll, my flight got all messed up so I 2missed the first three group practices. I did my best to get what I could (shout out to Alex Hiam for destroying) and then headed to the second annual BMX vs Skate Hockey match. Day two is about to pop off, so I’m gonna make this short…more to come!” – Ryan Fudger / Ride BMX

“Simple Session 2018 is here! It’s snowing outside, but there’s plenty of heat inside the legendary Saku Suurhall. Check out the course, watch the riders get familiar, and hear from Broc Raiford, Ryan Nyquist, Van Homan, Alex Hiam, Gary Young, Justin Dowell, and more!” – Vital BMX
