It’s Friday and it has been another week packed with new BMX videos, news, podcasts and more. This week was also a tough one with the loss of another amazing rider and person, along with it being a year since BMX lost Pat Casey. It has been one year since Pat Casey’s passing…
“Once in a lifetime we get to experience a phenomenon – something so profound in it’s actions and so deeply rooted in who we aspire to be.
Pat Casey was a phenomenon and a legacy in this beautiful home we call BMX.
It’s been one year since we lost one of the most progressive BMX riders in the world. A year since the Casey family lost their son, brother, husband, and father. There aren’t words to describe the impact that Pat had and will continue to have for years and years to come. Pat’s skill on a bike, the career he had, the contests he won, and the family he had was not by chance. He drilled his dreams into reality with focus, determination, confidence, and somehow, a levity that always put a smile on his face.

“Monster asked me to put together an instagram video to mark a year since the passing of Pat Casey. I had no real direction, so I began digging for the best footage of Pat. Stuff I had filmed. Stuff from Dreamyard edits. Past events. Random clips.
Needless to say, the Instagram video quickly turned into a longer form video as I went down a path rediscovering all the wild shit Pat had done over the years. All he accomplished and all he had built with his blood, sweat, and determination.
As I logged clips, it was fun (and emotional) to remember how Pat carried himself…a mix of clarity and levity. Knowing what he wanted, but also down for the journey. In the end, I felt lucky to travel all over the world with Pat and bare witness to see him get up from some outright brutal falls before the inevitable triumph. But more than anything, I realized how easy it was to find footage of him smiling.

Declan Murray for Bone Deth!
Whenever we see Declan Murray‘s name pop up, we know we’re going to see something unique. Here’s his latest for Bone Deth that definitely does not disappoint. We’re pretty sure this is the first time we’ve seen somebody ride without bars…Either way, you won’t want to pass this up, so get on that play button.
“The words “creative” and “original” can get thrown around pretty loosely, but if the Oxford Dictionary made a BMX version of their famous book, Bone Deth’s Declan Murray would be under both of those definitions. We guarantee you’ve not seen anything like this before… who needs bars anyway?!

Colony BMX coming through with more footage from the Hard Yards 2 contest! This time around we get a look at all of the crashes that happened. Yeah, crashing sucks, but it’s inevitable when you’re pushing the level of riding these guys are on. Here’s a look at the pain!

Fit Bike Co. and S&M Bikes‘ Canadian distributor Timeless BMX threw the Rock Bay BMX Jam the other weekend, so some of the crew took a trip up North to be apart of it. Here’s a highlight video from the jam! This park looks like a ton of fun to ride.

Here’s a fresh one from the Hot Nuts crew that Ride PA BMX dropped. This is a 20 minute video from trips in Pennsylvania to California and plenty of places in between. This features a bunch of different riders going to work on a ton of different spots, making for a real good watch!
