Scotty Cranmer – Kitchen Skatepark Contest – Day 2

April 26, 2017

Yesterday Scotty Cranmer dropped a video from the Day One of the Kitchen Skatepark Contest, now today we get a look at Day 2 from the Expert and Pro contests… And Big Boy‘s Spinal spree. This is 25 minutes long, but there’s some dialed riding and plenty of laughs mixed into this, a few tear jerker moments from the support the riders showed for Scotty and his recovery. Take a look!

“Day two of our trip to Indiana where my friend Brett Banaseiwicz who’s holding the sixth annual pro/am BMX Contest for his skate park the kitchen! Day one was amazing we all had so much fun meeting and hanging out with so many amazing people and the bike riding was insane! But day 2 is the final day of competition where the expert finals, girls, and prose get to ride. We started out the day with the big boy getting on his bike for the first time this weekend and he decided to come out swinging trying an insane front flip out of this big bank. Big boy crash so hard on his butt and he shook the whole skate park and woke everyone up! After that big boy did a flair challenge for maddog on a sketchy ramp! After that the contest started and we watch some amazing BMX riding and I was the judge. The experts rode the course, then the girls rode, then they held a jam on the street course for our fallen friend Glenn Salyers which was so awesome! After that the pros got their turn to ride and we saw some absolutely amazing bike riding with so many jaw dropping tricks! Then the big boy snuck on the course to try a trick that he was eyeing up all weekend a front flip up the step up! Big boy tried three times and he crashed so hard leading to the new rule no front flips on Sundays! At the end of the day they announced the winners and everyone gathered around to congratulate them! At this time is when the amazing people of the kitchen skatepark presented me with donations that they raised to help with my recovery including every rider and the spectators also handing me donations and I was in shock. I couldn’t believe the kindness of everyone at this competition. I never would’ve thought that so many people would come together to help me out. I never felt away the people of the kitchen skate park made me feel ever before. I felt like I was living out a part of a movie, it was indescribable but it was truly amazing. It was one of the best days of my life. Thank you everyone.”

Kris Bennett Has A TV Show? Steel City Rehab

April 26, 2017

Kris Bennett Steel City Rehab

It’s always pretty crazy seeing what riders get into “after BMX” so to speak. Although Kris is still heavily involved in BMX, being a Co-Owner of Deluxe and everything, he still has a lot going on outside of BMX. Most of you probably don’t know that he has had a pretty good career of flipping houses out in Pennsylvania since he retired from being a pro rider. Well, it must be going better than pretty good because he has a new TV SHOW coming to HGTV called “Steel City Rehab” that features him, his wife and his team that work on flipping houses and running a brokerage firm. You can catch the pilot episode on HGTV on April 30th. No word if it’ll be a series yet, but if enough of you guys tune in, it might just happen.

“HGTV to Launch “Steel City Rehab” Pilot on April 30

Hourlong Episode Details Local Home Renovation

PITTSBURGH (April 25, 2017) — HGTV will premiere the pilot episode of Pittsburgh-based reality show

“Steel City Rehab” this Sunday, April 30 at 12:00 p.m. EST. The hourlong program details a residential renovation project headed by husband-wife duo and local real estate professionals Kris and Tara Bennett, who own K Bennett Development Group and its sister company, boutique brokerage Lifespace Pittsburgh.

“This has been such a cool experience for all of us,” says Tara. “Pittsburgh is an awesome city, and we’re excited to see it getting the attention it deserves.”

Throughout the episode, the Bennetts work to acquire, restore, and ultimately sell a home in Pittsburgh’s East End. They enlist the help of colleagues and long-time friends Cameron Nicols, project manager, and Jesse Wig, real estate agent. Kris, who began rehabbing houses in 2008, attributes the cast’s natural chemistry to their collective hometown of Titusville, Pa., just south of Erie. “It’s great to be working with good friends from home,” he says. “There’s a certain familiarity and mutual respect between us that really creates a comfortable and fun work environment.”

As a nod to Pittsburgh’s diverse, interconnected community of builders, architects, and designers, the “Steel City Rehab” pilot features the hands-on work of two local professionals: former Pittsburgh Steeler and woodworking expert John Malecki, who works with Tara to create custom-made furniture for the home; and Abode Pittsburgh founder and creative director Heather Visnesky, whose team is credited with staging and styling the finished property.

Since announcing the episode’s debut via social media, the Bennetts have received an outpouring of regional support. Says Kris, “We’re so grateful for all of the positive feedback. Pittsburgh has such a tight-
knit, small-town vibe, and it’s heartening to know that we have the support of the community.”

“Steel City Rehab” was filmed and produced by Bodega Pictures, a full-service video production firm headquartered in Los Angeles.

About K Bennett Development Group

As one of Pittsburgh’s most progressive real estate development and investment groups, K Bennett

Development restores and creates unique residential spaces for the city’s thriving real estate market.”

Ola Selsjord – Riding An Abandoned Waterpark In Dubai

April 26, 2017

Since we know how much you guys love riding water parks, here’s one for you. Ola Selsjord came across an abandoned water park in Dubai that he managed to ride without much hassle besides the sun setting. Although we’re not really a fan of the vlogs and could do without the talking to the camera, this looks like it was a lot of fun (and probably a little scary and sketchy) to ride. We were a little bummed he passed up that perfect curved wallride opportunity, but that’s just us. Dubai seems to have endless spots to ride. Take a peek!
