Christian Rigal Talks “Still United”

It’s always crazy how much goes into a video part that you would never know just watching the video. Christian Rigal sat down to talk about some of the different aspects of United‘s latest DVD release, “Still United”! Caracas Trails Leftovers

One of the best parts of the Caracas Trails down in Brazil is the constant flow of crazy footage that comes out of the place. The EAL crew had some “leftover” footage from some of the sessions at the place that needed a home, so they tossed together this new BMX video for your viewing pleasure. Odyssey BMX – Blue Blood Grandstand Pedals

Odyssey have been doing a few throwback colorways lately that have been awesome reminders of the past. In 2008, Odyssey released the Blue Blood colorway for the first time and once the limited edition run of product was gone, the color was too. They have decided that Tom Dugan‘s signature Grandstand pedals were due for a fresh coat of paint and they brought back the Blue Blood color for a limited time!

The Grandstand pedals feature a thin alloy body with a 17mm center with an uninterrupted dual concave shape that is 105mm wide with 8 metal pins per side of the pedal giving you plenty of grip. Inside, you can find a 14mm heat-treated axle with 17mm wrecnh flats and 6mm broach making it easy to put on or remove them. If metal isn’t your thing, Odyssey also offer a plastic composite (PC) version of the pedal, but it doesn’t come in the Blue Blood color.

The Blue Blood Grandstand pedals are available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Odyssey BMX worldwide now.

Cult X Vans – Old Skool Pro Collaboration Shoes

It looks like Cult and Vans have teamed up for a 3rd collaboration shoe. This time around they went with the classic Old Skool Pro model with a few custom modifications. The Old Skool Pro starts out with a suede, canvas and leather upper with the single-wrap foxing tape and the Duracap reinforcements in high wear areas. Inside you can find the UltraCush HD insoles for a high level of impact cushioning and a comfy feel. On the bottom you can find the classic Vans Waffle sole that you know will keep your feet in place. You can find the orange and white Vans tags, embroidered Cult logos on the heels and tongues and the custom Cult logo insoles.

The Cult X Vans Old Skool Pro collaboration shoes are hitting BMX shops, mail-orders and Vans dealers worldwide with a price tag of around $54.99.

Scotty Cranmer – Van Doren Invitational 2016 Finals

Scotty Cranmer dropped his final video from the trip out west for the Van Doren Invitational. This one gives you a look at a ton of the action that went down during the finals, along with a few final thoughts on the way to the airport. Hit play and take it all in!

“Our final day of the California trip was the day that we were all waiting for, competition day! My little brother Matty was riding amazing all week and qualified for the finals and he came ready to give it all he had! It also happened to be Trey Jones’ birthday! While waiting for the event to start Matty and Trey almost died!! They were leaning against a scaffold railing when the lock broke and Trey and Matty were pretty much holding on for dear life! As the competition began it was insane seeing some of the best skatepark riders in the world riding that concrete bowl as hard as they possibly could! But only one man could walk away the champion and $12,500.00 richer! During the event some drunk beach tweaker started problems in the stands and turned into a bloody mess! He got arrested and the show went on. After the competition Vans held a high air competition where my little brother Matty and a few other riders started blasting the deep end and Crazy Larry was the winner and he did the highest air on a bMX bike that i have ever seen out of a concrete bowl at a skatepark! It was insane! Even though the trip is over I am already getting excited for next year! Huge shout out to Vans for the great times!”

Red Bull – Drew Bezanson: The Learning Curve Episode 4

The latest episode of Drew Bezanson‘s “The Learning Curve” series from Red bull has arrived. It looks like Drew’s plan to ride downhill bikes on top of BMX isn’t quite going to plan. We’ve honestly never seen Drew get so frustrated before, so this is definitely bringing out a whole different side of him. Hit play to see how things went for his first contest. Based off the teaser for the next video, it does look like things are starting to look up though!

In this latest episode of The Learning Curve, Drew Bezanson is trying to do it with just two hours of practice before his first official contest run at 26 Trix in Austria, and following a shoulder injury that knocked him out of the Swatch Rocket Air event before even getting started.
With a hectic schedule split between BMX contests and his slopestyle endeavors, Bezanson’s frustrations begin to boil over as he battles with the extremes of going from a fourth place finish at X Games on his BMX, to a less-than-stellar finish in his first recognised slopestyle contest.”

Banned BMX – Kill Your Boss Ride Your Bike

Banned coming through with a fresh video featuring Kyle Painter hitting his breaking point and shutting things down so he can catch a session on his bike. It might not be the best advice to kill your boss to ride your bike, but we can tell you there’s some real solid riding in this. Kyle is always one to produce some wild stuff and this video is just that!
