It’s always pretty crazy seeing where BMX pops up these days. We just saw over on the Profile Racing website this new print ad for Toyota featuring their new Tundra truck and Mike Saavedra hucking a big front flip tuck no hander into a lake over it! This ad is appearing in Sports Illustrated and ESPN’s magazine… Pretty wild. Check out another shot of Mike stretching a big old superman seat grab over the truck below!
Here’s one we got a look at back at September in the BSD Interbike 2015 Preview. The new West Coaster freecoaster hub that they have been working on over in Scotland. The West Coaster freecoaster starts out with a 6061-T6 aluminum shell with high quality sealed bearings, a 4130 heat-treated chromoly axle, a unique durable clutch design and a triple bearing driver that is designed to to hold up to the heavy abuse these hubs are put through in the streets. Below you can find a little more info about their new drag system that BSD chose to go with…
“We utilized a totally new type of drag mechanism, instead of the usual ‘metal grinding on metal’ spring arrangement we used a heavy friction O-ring to create drag on a highly ground and polished section of the axle. This makes for smooth operation, while generating ample friction to engage the hub.
We tested many different designs of the driver, the all bushing systems we tried had too much wobble, we also tested various configurations of cartridge bearings, they had their own issues. We got the best results using 2 x cartridge bearings, 1 x polymer bush bearing and a C-clip to keep everything simple, steady and solid.”
The West Coaster hub comes in right or left side drive with color options of black or polished, a weight of 1.45 lbs. (660 grams / 23.28 oz.) and have Jersey Barrier Push-On drive and non-drive side hub guards included.

Just when you thought you saw all the footage from the XSA Invitational, Pavel Ivanov drops an email with a 12 minute long recap video from the riding to the parties and good times that were had off the bikes.
“Finally the moment came and I got the chance to show you all the biggest project I’ve been ever attending to. This is my perspective on XSA Invitational event that went down in Sochi (Olympic Park) in the beginning of October 2015. This is the second time when Krasnodar Region turns my mind inside out and you all need to check it out why.

Tristan Sweet was sitting on a bunch of footage of Nik Muryn putting in work on the streets of Vancouver, Burnaby and the Sunshine Coast up in Canada and decided it was time to let them loose on the internet. Check out this fresh video of Nik putting his pegs to heavy use! There’s a crash in this that will make your jaw drop, too. Talk about one hell of a scorpion.
It looks like one of our favorite Russian riders, Irek Rizaev has found himself a new sponsor! Russian based Brotherhood BMX (BRZRHD) just swooped up the super technical ramp rider, so expect Irek to be rocking their stem and sprocket on his Total BMX setup!
Christoffer Moller… No, not Chris Moeller… coming through with a dialed new video from Sweden for you to check out. Christoffer cooked up a bunch of real good riding from some of his local street spots and a few skatepark clips mixed in there for good measure. There’s a ton of grinds in this and some good style. Mix that in with some clean film work with some unique shots, you have one solid BMX video you can’t pass up. Check it!
It’s pretty interesting seeing all the different styles of skateparks from massive ramps to parks like Pier 15 that is essentially an indoor plaza. Here’s a video from a BMX Street Night session that went down at the park recently. Real solid riding throughout. You will definitely be wishing you could cruise this park some time…
