Sneak Peek: S&M Bikes – Dagger Frame

November 5, 2015

s-m-bikes-bmx-dagger-frame

Here’s one we got a look at, at Interbike back in September. S&M Bikes have been working on a new park specific frame called the Dagger frame. Based off what we saw at their suite in Vegas, this frame will feature a 75.75 head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.6″ bottom bracket height, 7.25″ seat tube height and a short 12.8″ to 13.2″ chain stay length. No word on other special features of the frame, but based off the photo, we’re seeing gussets on the top and down tubes, what appears to be a butted top tube (could be the lighting), an integrated seat post clamp, tapered seat and chai stays, removable brake mounts on the seat stays, S&M logos on the caps at the drop outs and integrated chain tensioners that thread through the drop outs. No word on top tube lengths yet, but we would imagine they will have a few different options and colors available.

This frame is going to be available in a very limited edition glow-in-the-dark Sublime Lime (color can be seen below) color with matching 26mm offset Widemouth forks. If you’re digging this color, have your local shop get ahold of S&M Bikes asap to get your pre-order in now!

The Dagger frame will be available in two weeks, so we’ll let you know when it’s officially out!

Scotty Cranmer VS Matty Cranmer – Subrosa Street Rail Game of BIKE

November 5, 2015

What happens when Scotty Cranmer goes up against his little bother, Matty Cranmer, in a game of BIKE? Well, if it was ramps… That would be one story, but they decided to pull out the Subrosa Street Rail and see who could win. Needless to say, when two park guys go to work on a rail… It gets funny. Check it!

“Me and my little brother Matty played a game of BIKE on the Subrosa street rail in a construction site. This was my first session back on my bike after a month from breaking my fingers. Big Boy was there to film all the action! ”

Shadow Conspiracy – Mark Burnett: What Could Be Left?

November 5, 2015

If there’s one guy that we have become serious fans of over the past few years, it’s Mark Burnett. There’s no denying that Shadow Conspiracy made the right move picking him up, because he’s evolved into a serious street technician that will blow your mind all day. Check out these leftover clips from his “What Could Go Wrong?” video part… Amazing.

“A lot can happen while filming for a full-length video over three years. For Mark Burnett, he went from a 14 year old flow rider just starting out, to a 17 year old Pro with a bright future. During that course of time Mark managed to film a lot of crazy stuff, not all of which made it in to his crazy “What Could Go Wrong?” section. We thought the world might like to see it, so sit back, relax, and enjoy “What Could Be Left?” from Mark Burnett.

“Roc Bottom” – Matt Smith, Nate Stahura and Peter Knapp

November 5, 2015

Another section from the “Roc Bottom” video for you to enjoy featuring some of Rochester, New York’s finest putting in work on the city’s endless street spots. This section features riding from Matt Smith, Nate Stahura and Peter Knapp and doesn’t disappoint!

“Matt Smith of The Yea, OG Rochester local Nate Stahura, and young gun Peter Knapp hold down the first section in Dave Raffa’s ‘Roc Bottom’ DVD. Whether you are a newcomer to town, closing in on 40 doing one-footed double peg grinds, or just barely old enough to drive there’s a place for you in the Rochester scene and BMX in general. Look for the following part to drop next week here on DIG.

“This section offers a glimpse into the variety of riders within the Rochester scene. The transplant, the staple, and the young boy. Matt Smith, the transplant who had a brief residency in Rochester, brought some out of town flavor to the Roc. Matt has a keen eye for set ups, and a scrupulous attention to trick execution. He is a true BMX nerd and runs theyea.com. Nate Stahura, the staple, who on any given day can be spotted riding downtown. Nate has been piece of the Rochester scene for 20 years. He has seen the old guys fade away, the transplants come and go, and the young kids flourish. Riding scenes always evolve and it is valuable for it to have some staple figures to offer guidance. Finally we have the young boy, Peter Knapp. Peter is one of many young talented riders in Rochester. At 16 years old, there is a 17 year age gap between him and Nate. There is also a three stack height difference between them too. Enjoy.” -Dave Raffa
