Andy Maguire – Gassed and Pooped

August 3, 2023

Andy Maguire sent over a video from his trip to the Rumble In Richmond!

We always get real stoked when we see Andy Maguire‘s name pop up in the inbox. Here’s his latest video he sent through from a trip he took with his brother and Reed Zirjacks to Richmond, Virginia to check out the Rumble In Richmond, along with getting some riding on street spots and parks in the area. Hit play for 6 minutes of footage from the trip that looks like it was an absolute blast.

“Reed Zirjacks, my brother Tim, and I set out to spectate at the Rumble in Richmond 2023, and ride some of the finest spots the Mid-Atlantic had to offer. What came about was a 4 day BMX binge through Richmond, VA, Washington DC, and Baltimore MD. Tim and I also stopped in Chicago on the way back to California. With all of us in our mid-thirties, the amount of riding that went down was a bit of challenge, but the sights, spots and shredders we linked up with along the way made all the aches and pains well worth the experience. Big ups to Radshare and Steve Crandall for hosting an event like this, a great showcase of how fun and amazing the bmx community can be.” – Andy Maguire

Ezequiel Helmreich gets it done for Etnies down in Argentina!

Whenever a video pops up from Argentina, we’re always stoked because there’s so many wild spots and talented riders down there putting in the work. Here’s a new one featuring Ezequiel Helmreich for Etnies that’s loaded with riding from street spots, parks, trails and ditches. Ezequiel brings a ton of style to everything he touches, which goes perfect with the big mix of spots he rides. Hit play and check this out since it does not disappoint!3

“Argentina native Ezequiel Helmreich’s newest edit, “Contracorriente”, filmed in Cordoba and Buenos Aries. Contracorriente means countercurrent in English- locals tend to say that when they do stuff against fate, and make it happen. Filmer Luigi Viacava dives into the details:

“This was one of those bad luck trips- I had to get back to Lima, Peru in the middle of the trip because of an emergency, and then booked a flight back to Argentina to continue filming. I came back, the car broke, my 8mm footage burned because I was forced to pass it through the airport scanner, flat tires happened every day, hahaha.”

Despite the ups and downs, Ezequiel and Luigi pulled it off, and hit some awesome terrain while doing so. Enjoy.

Colony BMX – Clint Millar 49th Birthday

August 1, 2023

Clint Millar’s annual birthday edit has arrived!

Every year when Clint Millar‘s annual birthday edit drops, we feel like it was just his birthday a few months ago. Well, time FLIES and it has indeed been another year. ONce again Clint has delivered with a banger of a BMX video packed with technical lip tricks from a bunch parks and the Colony ramps for our viewing pleasure! Take a look because these are always a damn good watch. We’re already looking forward to his big 5-O edit!

“Ten years after the tradition started, we have another year & another birthday video from Clint.

Typically filmed all in the one day on his actual birthday. He wanted to give it all he could this time around. This year we spent 4 days riding & filming at a few parks with good friends.

All while celebrating Clint’s 49th we came out the other side with a great video. Not to mention, another great 80’s soundtrack to boot. We hope you enjoy. Now for that 50th next year?

Brian Tunney – July 2023 Clips

August 1, 2023

Brian Tunney gives us a look at his July sessions!

It’s that time of the month (the 1st) for Brian Tunney to drop his monthly edit for us to check out! Here’s a look at what he got into during his flatland sessions in his garage over the course of July. It was a scorcher, but that didn’t keep Brian from getting it done. Take a look!

“Due to July’s average temperature being somewhere between 98 and 102 degrees, I allowed myself to take it easy and not go crazy this month. Seriously, it was always too hot to ride. I made it happen regardless but no marathon sessions were happening. These were more like 20 minute bursts of energy that descended into an overheated sweaty mess in no time. On top of that, the GoPro heats up really quick and then shuts off without warning. So I have my reasons. As for the riding…

00:01 Seat pass hitchhiker juggler to one-hand juggler to Dave duster. This was nothing special, just me kicking off the month and trying to clear out the jugglers in a garage closet.
00:19 The first of many undertakers this month. The stalls wanted to happen so I went with it and stalled this into a rope-a-roni.
00:29 Seat pass juggler to one-hand juggler to another one-hand juggler. Again, clearing out the juggler closet this month.
00:43 I hadn’t done one of these in a few years and wanted to make sure I could still do it, without getting stuck on attempts for two hours. Undertaker to gerator to smith in about 15-20 minutes, in a Satriale’s t-shirt.
00:55 Seat pass juggler to invisible hand to steamroller to half hiker to one-hand juggler.
01:14 Undertaker stall to late barspin. I really wanted this to smith decade out, but I’m not really consistent at this late barpsin thing and needed to work on that first. It’s gonna happen, it might just take a few weeks.
01:24 Double seat pass juggler to opposite elbow glide. Nothing special, but still a challenge in a two-car garage.
01:40 Half lash to foot jam barspin to smith decade. Looks easy, but it took a while. Combining an undertake with this is going to take a lot of work and my brain wasn’t ready for it this month.
01:53 Half hiker to Dave duster to backwards hitchhiker. No notes!
02:16 Cancan to undertaker to late barspin. Still working on consistency with the late barspin so I figured I’d throw in some stuff at the beginning. I also like treating undertakers like they’re vert airs.

Soundtrack: Marriages, J. Robbins, Drive Like Jehu, The Replacements, The Garage Fan, Neighborhood Cicadas, Karate, Soulside

And now onto August. Not gonna lie: the heat has zapped my motivation and August might be a few tricks plus a bike check on the back brake bike. We’ll see how it goes though. As always, thanks for watching. Rest in peace Paul Reubens!” – Brian Tunney
